Think you may need to be a bit careful on the carwash you use, A lot of car shampoos etc are silicon based and that would create a layer between bar and paint. Fairy liquid might be a goer tho?
^^ Cheers for the reply but what I meant was how are these so much better than other polishers on the market to make them worth there money?? I mean you can buy a random orbital sander (ie bosch) and some high quality polishing / buffing pads for around £50, I can understand how the quality of...
Is it just me or does anyone else think that £200+ for a polisher is a rip off?? If you had a valet business then I could see the arguement but for your own car? I can think of a lot better things to spend the money on.
Surely there are cheaper polishers about after all it is only random...
Blocking p**n sites won't stop him beating one off, he will just have to search harder for his material!!! lol besides kids will get round something like that anyway!! How old is he??
Oh and as for getting caught - well and truely owned!! lol
Bought a 172 about 3 months ago,
Paid £6800 for it, 53 plate 18k miles, frsh, all the toys, climate, cruise, esp, xenons etc etc. Its an awesome car for the money, they really go well and handle excellently, the major mechanics of these cars are very good, Interior quality could be better (tho...
Just was it with a good shampoo and dry it frequently
usually give it a good polish and waxing around sept time to help protect the paint from the harsh road conditions during the winter months then again in the spring for a nice summer shine
^^ you probably wont clog the injectors etc but the crud will block lines and filters which will still amount to a fuel blockage. also remember the injectors have a very small appature something the size of a grain of sand can block it
Ph2 all day long!!
Prefer the looks of the interior and exterior on the ph2, as for the fly by wire vs cable, there is a difference but its minimal, I wasn't looking for an all out hot hatch (and If I was I wouldn't have bought a clio at all), I wanted a fast, comfortable and refined small...
its a one gallon warning, so what ever your MPG is. I average about 35 mpg, so have 35 miles left in tank.
This is pretty accurate I ran out of petrol in my old clio on the way to the petrol station I was averaging 38 mpg and got 38 miles before it ran out!
Fortunatley I had a spare can of...
I use Optimax when available, I have had to switch from optimax to tesco 99 and there is a noticable difference, my car deffo runs better on optimax.
There a limited stocks of optimax around at the moment but there was a rumour going around that optimax production was going to stop and that...
Will a multimeter show the currents as possitive and negative?
If so then pick one up for a tenner and make sure your in phase, if you use speaker wire that does not have a different sleeve for pos/neg (ie a stripe) it can be difficult to get it right, also make sure you have really good...
The Std airbox on a MK1 is a cylindrical box and the MK2 is rectangular.
As a result I beileve the layout is different and the Airbox located in a different place on each model.
If it were brake related then the brake warning and/or Abs light would come on. So I think you could discount the brakes. I would check the oil (engine and gearbox) to make sure there is sufficent oil, Just to be on the safe side. If its been coming on since you bought the car new I would be...
I got hit by half a bag of cement the other morning, It hit the base of the windscreen just off centre towards the passenger side It made a huge bang and I shat myself, how he hell it never cam through I don't know, it didn't damage the screen at all, however the n/s wiper arm is bent and no...
A st150 wont keep up with a full fat 172!! He tried and failed! lol
I've not driven an ST but It would have to be pretty special to make me want to swap my clio for one
I bought a monoco blue 172 sport on a 53 plate with 19k miles, frsh etc, three months ago for £6800 its immaculate apart from a small dent in the roof, the guy was asking £7250 in the ad.
Think I got a cracking deal on it, it had just had new tyres and the spare was an alloy too. 1 small...
