    Long term shouldn't move much, it's averaged over a long time. Short term will change constantly. Relatively normal readings.

    surprised he's said it was too thick. I put 80w90 into my old JB3 when it was getting tired (crunchy 3rd) and it helped nicely. I just use ELF 75w80, it's not really that expensive if you consider it's life span and that most gearboxes will do 70-80k without an oil change

    I see about 1 a year that actually needs changing. They don't need doing as a matter of course, and often you cause issues by disturbing it.

    T30 torx, 10mm and 13mm sockets and extension. 5mm Allen key. Flat blade screwdriver. 8mm spanner. Take the battery out for easy access.
