If you look on the Supersprint Website The 70mm was only produced in Limited numbers (little square on the key). However the 63mm zorst is a full production one so is easily avalible.
So how many 70mm systems made it to the UK then just the three??
Mine, m@tthew and dogmaul???
Exactly!!!
Ive dont 10k in 4 months and my clutch is mullered!! Be Very interested to find out whta they say when it goes in for a service!!! Proably deniy there is a problem!!
Ok found on webite RRP for the MIDDLE section is £211.98 872803
Back section is £245.24 872805 ,and the cat replacement is £174.03
So for you cat back you would be paying £457.22 Before the 10% discount.
and thats a 120 x 80 exit pipe. Anything else??....!
Errm Not sure for the Cat back, but itll be more expensive than a K-tec or Magnex. Try Chris at Canosser in Southend. If you join (£5) youll get 10% off plus youll get delivery.
To give you an idea my 70mm race system cost about £540 before discount.
What is the shortest 172 clutch life anyone has had??
Im on 11k now and my gear box and clutch feel like those of a 20 year volvo estate!! My clutch bites (sometimes) right at the top and basically feels like poo. It nearly always grinds/grate/crunches into 3rd and second is so notchy it...
Jesus!!! All they asked me in Basinstoke was "Oi! as it got air conn?" and the quoted me £190 although they couldnt actually tell me wot the service in included.
Dont think youll be able to get hold of the 70mm system anymore, but the 63mm system seems to be avalible, although youll be looking at the new year as they all seem to have 2 come from Italy.
Try Motorworld, they do them at 15% of the RRP so itll work out bout £450 for the system
Im 20. Bought a 172 as i do alot of miles and it really nice when the weather crap like it is now. Late at night in the dark on the way home from work you can drive like a complete ring piece and the ESP and ABS just sorts it out!!!
Problem ive found with the 172 is it SO comfortable that it s...
Well i dont intend on having the car when it goes in for the MOT. So thats going 2 be someone elses problem!! That said i dont think i would be a problem coz my mate does my MOTs and hes never bothered doing an emmissions test coz he cant b arsed to turn the computer on!!!
And when you go in for a service and they open the bonnet and see the Viper :o
At least with an exhaust it cant invalidate the warrenty on the whole engine (just think if they notice the chip!!)
Errrr apart from on the supersprint system where they might notice the the wire for the second...
Ok, Ive just rang my insurance company (tesco) and delared the exhaust (this supersprint) They asked if it was going 2 give me more power.
i said "i dont think so". Am i right in saying that the "ONLY" way that you can prove that the exhaust gives you more power is to get ther car rr before...
This sounds lke something my 172 is doing!!
Board it in 1st and once in the power band theres this strange vibration sound coming from the engine, like something is slipping? think it might be the clutch
Im going 2 try and go 2 reno pronto, as im getting a supersprint in a couple of weeks...
BUGGER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Errrr aparently supersprint have discontinued the 70mm system, and only the 63mm is avaliable now for the same price.
Any ideas where i could source one from??
It needs doing for power but doesnt cause it 2 run too lean??
Might buy one as a crimbo present for my car. Decided there not point pissing around with a magnex, im still young and stupid!!!
Runnin in..... Im sorry what does that mean??
I think the manuel says to keep it under the rev limiter till the oil warms up, but after that you MUST NOT (this is in big letters!!) change up till the little green gearstick light comes on in the bottem right of the speedo!!
But then again i...
Passenger footwell, then go up and left
In the engine bay remove the powersteering fluid thing, and stick your hand down behind the soundeading stuff **WARNING** you need little b**ch hands to do it. and even then it hurts.
Now you mention it the clutch has been a bit cack for the last few weeks, bitting really near the top and jerking now and again...?
Would be the case on a 4month old car with 10kmiles on it?
Errr just drove to the shop for lunch..... and on the way back got a strong burning smell. Got back to work and opened the bonnet, there is a strong burning smell coming from the back of the engine bay.
As well ive noticed the exhaust is a bit louder, ie when i lift of the throttle it...
