Ok quick help need please......
My brakes failed on sunday, took it into Renault in Monday morning and was informed that the brake servo had failed. Was told that they did not have any cars to give me a such short notice so Renault UK was phoned and I was give a hire car for 3 days.
Today I...
Im Very interested in this as well.
i dont think a bog standard chip will be good enough for what i need. Is there anywhere the will (not silly money though) put my car on the rollers and adjust the fuel etc on their. If there is then i imagine i could see some big power gains.
Ok. On the way home yesturday my brakes failed. The pedal went rock solid and now dont really do a lot. The Master Brake cylinder was replaced under warrenty about 2 months ago, so im guessing that some thing has broken again and there is a load of air in the system.
Thing is I work in...
yeah, but i dont wanna just get an r-sport or superchip. coz they wont do enough. Ill wait till i can afford to get it properly set up on the rollers. I think i know why its so lean, The second lambada sensor was still pluged in and I think this may have been screwing with the ECU.
Ive...
I think eveything that could have gone wrong today did.
Took my car to Tonbrige and got it on the Rollers. Produced 118Bhp the wheels. (Si172, and jon_r both made 130 with only a sealed incduction) The RR operator told me that my car was running DANGEROUSLY lean )ie half the petrol to normal)...
I refuse to get my car "re-flashed" Christ give me the Hex file and i could do it in 5mins!!
Its a joke how much they charge (presumable to cover their backs if they mess up?)
Oh come on this K-tec thing cant be that loud.
Try driving 80miles on the motorway everyday with a Supersprint race systems. Now that people is Hardcore. ;)
Ive fitted one of these to the back of a Pug 206 GTI. Cant remember if the spoiler got in the way though.
Those are the ones that use like metal/rubber things rather than just strapy things? Very solid once on the car. Total b*****d to fit correctly though.
Well Thule make pretty much all the stuff anyway, (halfords stuff is last seasons thule but worse quality).
Buy some thule stuff from halfords, see which one fits best and then take the others back!!! Go 2 one of the bigger Ripspeed (arcade) stores they should have all the expensive thule ones...
What ever you use. Make sure it drys b4 so drive off. Bloody annoying after youve washed your car and then spray the crap of your wheels all over the car again!

U cant modify the car?
They let me declare my SuperSprint system.... Although it did take me roughly 15mins to explain to them what a performance exhaust was. So in the end i just gave up and said it was a like for like replacment.
Dude i used to have a 60 bhp Ax with 15s, that thing didnt know the meaning of understeer. Light car with lots of front end grip and a light arse. Its going to come round everytime you back off round a bend.
WOW looks like i did get a good quote then :D and before you ask, its not in a really good post code, but it is garaged.
Cant remeber how many miles i told them i did a year though. Think i was being optomisitc that i would change jobs in the next month. Did hve the stomach to tell them i do...
Oh come on its ok. When i had a Yaris 1.0 hire car a bloke in a BMW cut me up so i pulled along side gave him a really evil look punched the horn and then "mmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeppppppp" the gayest, most stupid horn ever!!!! Everyone pointed laughed and started making w**ker signs at me.

Didnt think this was bad concidering that last year they wouldnt even give me a quote on a saxo VTR!!!
