I was with Elephant previously and I'm sure they told me they won't actually replace the mods if you had to claim!! Best the phone them and check, or try someone else. Greenlight are supposed to be really good (But they don't insure 172 cups  ) them or Adrian Flux can usually give good quotes.
Ok cheers, can get some Sportlines for £126 from Roadrunner in Notts so might have to go for them, the Prolines sound good and very popular but wanting a bit more of a drop i.e. approx 30-40mm
Hi just after some advice please, please, please :)
I am considering lowering my 172 CUP, I am happy with the handling and not really looking to improve upon this too much, but I would really like to lower my car as it look a bit too high. However I know many of you will say get H&R coilovers...
Hi guys. Hopefully be swapping rear bumpers on my 172 CUP with one that has a cut-out for an exhaust. Just wondering how bad a job it is to change them over.
Thanks
Duncan
Yeah but even if your engine is running crap it will still be doing the same speed at the same rev's surely? just be getting there slower.
Easiest way is to time you car 0-60 with a stopwatch and using the speedo. If its not below 7 by the speedo could be a problem. Should be about 6.5 by...
Hi all just after a bit of advice:
Thinking of getting a spare wheel to keep at home and take with me on long journeys etc, just wondering which non-RS wheels would fit my 172 cup, if any, as don't need an expensive / pretty alloy to keep in the garage most of the time, so don't want to pay...
Guessing the same as an RS, The two lower front seatbelt mounts and use the lower two rear seatbelt mounts. I can show you where I mounted mine to later. I might let my Sabelt 4-point clip in harnesses go if the price is right
Easy enough, just jack it up, and put on axle stands, wouldn't bother trying without.
Just be careful when you are drilling the Carbon splitter as they're pretty brittle.
Did mine alone, but if you get someone to hold it in place while your marking up and messing about would make life loads easier.
Cheers, I can't remember what grade of wet and dry i used, it was the finest stuff that Halfrauds sell and i used it wet. The area still has a good shine and reflectivity so don't think i have gone through the lacquer (I hope) just not quite as mirror like as the rest of the car. Its only a...
Hi expert deteailers. I got a few sratches on my bumper, all the way through the paint into plastic, they have been touched up a lot and sanded flush with really fine wet and dry, however the surrounding paintwork has lost some of its shine, tried using loads of t-cuts, polishes, etc but can't...
You should definately get a 172 cup, loads of fun. Mine is for sale at minute by conicidence. In forsale section, up for 5500. PM me if you want any more info.
Mine went on my old mini. As said its really easy to do on the old mini engines. I got someone i knew to do it for about 75 quid i think, apparently its the easiest engine to change the head gasket on. Mine went because of a water leak causing the engine to overheat thus burning through the gasket
