Yeah definately check the brake fluid. Had it on my old 306, Thought it was the handbrake light lite up when driving (so ignored it LOL) shortly became appartent that it had a split brake pipe and pissed out all the brake fluid, and promply lost all braking!!!

Yeah I think lots of car enthusiasts (including myself) do over estimate the value of their cars and think or hope their car isn't subject to normal depreciation e.g. 3 yrs 36,000 average loss 60% of value!

Hmm oh well. When I opened my policy with them they said the only mods they wouldn't cover are rollcages. But anything else is fine?! Guess they may have changed their minds.

Depends which company you use through Adrian Flux though, if you use Highway (which are often the cheapest) they won't insure roll cages!

I had a similar noise and thought it was the bearing, but turned out to be the caliper slider had stuck, causing the brakes to bind when they got hot. Maybe worth a look?
