service intervals...Book may say 12k.... But id say 10k to be safe, and i do mine at about 7k...
Belts, if the cambelt hasn't been done it needs doing! as its 5 years or 72k... don't let anyone tell you its only based on mileage. Rubber belts perish in time!
Other big jobs, nothing of such...
Haha, much less popular and you can't modify as much or as OEM as the mk2 shape.
IMO engine is superb in mine. Done 20k miles in mine without fault. Still only 40k on the clock though so time will tell :)
Hi there :) what's your budget?
As the older dci's eg the 80 which seems to be the most common often have many problems. Sometimes none for 100k miles +.. However they do have a week fuel system and injectors are expensive!
Turbos may need replacing about 100k miles so think about that aswell...
been filling my head full of stuff...
I currently have H&R 20mm spacers on the back, type that bolts into the hub then you use your own wheel bolts....
Looking at these for the front...
Are these really safe to use? and are they balanced, so no vibration at speed...
Hi there, just writing up a post for what iv worked out timing and location wise.
Me, Ryan218 and Wayne g (local to me) along with a couple others possibly will be going down following this plan, all others are welcome to join!
Times should be about right, but correct me if you think im way...
Feel sorry for the guy. No way should he have been given the stick he got. Iv had good pics before but might come down the the little thing. Cba to get the cable out, or find the cable. I personally look forward to when I see a picture in his own time :)
well i was following an l200 pickup (no-one i know) at the same speed and they got round just fine, mr accelera tyre was having none of it though!
might have had something to do with before i went round said corner i was parked on some grass aswell...
sure i read somewhere on hear about it just being a curclip coming off and meaning loss of all drive? so could be a cheaper than you think fix... someone else will be able to help my info on this..
I was thinking this ha, yeah, atm im running with 1 crap tyre on the back left while my wheels are getting sprayed, all was going well untill the road got a bit wet and i find myself 90 degrees sideways on a bend at low speeds... oh dear me, as is said many times, false economy buying cheap...
I know its do-able in a mk2 buy buying the controls and plugging it in, now would it be possible on my mk3...
Hopefully should be easier with mine, i have the keyless start, so it knows when i push my brake pedal or the clutch down..
would it be a case of buying the steering wheel and control...
ignition key off, and press and hold the end of the mpg button while you turn ignition key to on. soon as dials start moving let go of button and see what the crack is, not sure how it might help, might though :P
Re: Anyone's IP4 lock button stopped working?
mines just really hard to press, mind my phone has had some "accident damage" and the chassis is bent :P making lock button a sometimes 2 handed job to press aha
Since dad works at a car dealership and chips away van is there every day and they have a man who does little bits so it won't be that bad. Only 2 car park dings and 3 scratches that aren't big.
Haha not like that, got some lacquer peel and a few little scratches and dents that need doing, so its like a price for the whole car being put nice :)
Well... That may be an idea.. however, cant make my mind up, a proper map on might make it as quick in the real world as a twingo haha
Know what you mean, some of those estimates are like rounded up too far for a safety margin.
Big item like DMF might not even need to be purchased depending...
Sat in the house on a night bored, nothing better than to make lists of stuff you cant afford for your car..
Here is mine..
A rough list, a detailed one will follow I'm sure :P
How about yours?
I am said friend! would like to know who it was in the trophy. <3 trophy!
ps martin, RB looked very nice, loving the silver wheels as opposed to the graphite cup wheels. Makes a change
On my 1.5dci 106bhp it was 2900 first year with just me on my insurance, and now is 1500 in my 2nd year of driving, and in my 3rd year of driving it will be 950 for a twingo 133.... insurance companys seem to think if you survive the first 2 years youl be right :P
All my friends is more than...
