Does the GDI kit include an exhaust system? If not, then get that sorted first, then take it to GDI for the 205bhp package.
Then with the change buy some FK coilovers or something.
That should sort the car out a treat.
Then when you save some more cash, perhaps get some new wheels, like...
Personally i'd say mine was much less restrictive compared to the OEM box with an ITG panel filter. Purely because it is still an enclosed system, and i have a cold air feed from the lower front grill, which is much better than the standard air feed.
i'd certainly agree on the Inlets too, as...
I've heard you have had a 172, 182, and a 182 Trophy. So i need your help. Basically I was orginally looking for a 172 on 53/04 plate, with cruise control, in iceberg silver. I was gonna put some coilovers on and 182 wheels, but I've noticed some cheap 182's in the same price range. I really...
I did just that to my CUP a couple of weeks ago now.
I now have a magnex cat back system, and a BMC CDA induction kit.
Makes the car accelerate much smoother. Dont know if its any faster, but the noise from them both is nice, and as i said, the car is much smoother, as its less restricted.
dont have any pics, but just go to halfrauds and ask at the parts desk for pads for your car, they will ask if its the lucas ones or the others (i forget the name now)
Tell them its the lucas ones. Job done.
The cup seats are basically dynamique seats, so no lumbar support for the driver (that adds weight!!).
I have to use a cushion in mine, as i get bad back sometimes if i dont. As im tall, the seats tend to make me slouch alot.
Im planning to get bucket seats at some point to that i can get...

Thats the quickest CLK230k on parkers, so yeah i'd say the clio should kill it.
Agreed! lol
No way would i worry about my car being spotless all the time. Once a week at the most. in this weather its getting done every few weeks as its to cold and pointless to be waxing it every week.
Yep, just sounds like renault crap to me.
When i had my old 1.2 clio, i had that lowered with 17's on, and an exhaust. They tried to blame my failing clutch on that. It went after just 15k miles, lol.
pmsl @ preecy.
i cant say i've had anyone take the piss really. my mates asked me why i went from a beemer to the clio, so i just took them out and then they understood why.
Was a silver one, with a magnex (i think). going along denmark road (i think), i came up behind you. You turned off down silver road. Was about 8.30-9.00pm last night.
Personally i bought the CUP because i prefer the looks of it over the williams/valver. I couldnt really give two s***s about which is quicker. I know the CUP is safer, and to me looks better. Obviously everyones views are different. Which is why we buy different cars.
As i said, i couldnt...
I cant believe people fall for this s**t. To get 15-20bhp from an engine will cost you a good few hundred quid of engine/exhaust mods etc.
Nothing you can buy from halfrauds will give you that much bhp.
Does yours not already have the alarm installed then? The standard alarm is a CAT 1 alarm as far as i know.
If you are wanting a second alarm, then i'd suggest a clifford jobby. The new ones with the anti-hijack system are meant to be good i think.
Mines now on 46k and feels great.
My mate has a full fat 172 with about 20k on his, and he keeps saying to me that his engine is better than mine cause its got less miles blah blah. I keep telling him they get better with age, but he is having none of it. I'll just have to show him one day on...
For a 182 lookalike exhaust, i think you can get them from K-tec Racing.
Cant remember the web address, so just google them. I dont think they are cheap though. And they use the existing bumper and will cut holes in it.
