Silvo gets my vote. used it many a time, and its great VFM, as you buy the cotton wool in a tin version of it, and you use very little each time, so it lasts ages. Gets of stubborn tar etc, and leaves it nice and shiney. Just rub it in, leave to dry, then wash off with soapy water, and dry...
Didnt think they did. I knew it didnt have the ABS, as i've locked the wheels up a couple of times under heavy braking.
I can see this car is either going to be the making of my driving abilty, or the breaking. Im hoping its the first of the two.
Just been looking on your site, and saw this pic

How easy is it to get to the bit you have painted under the plenum (is that right?)
As i was thinking of getting a engine cover for the cup, but i'd much prefer to polish it up and paint it like that...
Thanks for the replies guys. Im getting a magnex now, from a mate, for £80. Its only done 400miles too, so its more or less new!
I think if i was going to buy one though, i would have gone for the mongoose. As although they both have the same twin pipe, i prefer the mongoose for some reason...
Oh, dont get me wrong, i dont think she knew much about the cars or what she was selling etc. I was just saying, she was quite cute, so i couldnt hit her with a big stick.
I'd happily smash her through the headboard though, lol.
Its going to be nice to get the magnex, as im also getting a...
I think you may be confused mate. The light is on, when your esp is off. It is a warning light to say its off, so be careful.
You will know its on, when the light is off.
On a side note, do the CUPs have ESP? I have no button to turn it on or off on my car.
If by reliance, you mean holden in Norwich, down heigham street, then i think she has been there quite a while. As she seemed to know everything about all the tech's and who was having babies and all sorts of s**t. lol
I'm picking up a magnex saturday, but its in essex, so it looks like i'll...
If you are looking at spending that much, then you may as well spend a little bit more and get the porter cable polisher.
I paid £90 for mine (but i had it delivered to the states, and a friend brought it home for me). Then its just a case of getting the 110v transformer, and the plug needed...
I planned on going stainless with it anyway, i just thought if i could get a standard system back on there until i can afford stainless, i would.
If not, i'll just have to drive about with a very loud car for a short while, lol.
Basically on the way home from the gym last night, my backbox fell off the car.
It seems to have rusted right through the pipe, just before the back box.
The car is about 3 and a half years old. Its a CUP. Surely i shouldnt have to pay out for this. Any other brand of car wouldnt have an...
Which is better....
Magnex or Mongoose?
Both have the same tailpipe design of 3.5" twin pipe.
And both around the same price.
I've always thought that Mogoose systems were better.
Its for my CUP by the way.
I have to say, im quite impressed with the maturity in this thread so far. When i saw it last night, i was expecting it to be filled with self righteous people having a go at him for driving dangerously.
As has been said, we have all driven a little hard at times, and no doubt most of us have...
Well just been to my brothers to get him to fit my new pads that i bought from ripoff renault earlier.
We were both shocked that i hadnt had a crash yet, and that i was still able to stop!
Thats probably the thickest one of the four pads removed.
One pad fell apart when we took it out...
Just been to buy new brake pads for the CUP.
While i was waiting i looked at their prices on services etc.
On the board, they had the price to fit and supply new brake pads for the clio.
£240!!!!!!!!! To fit new brake pads!
Are they having a grin? The pads themselves cost me £45
So how...
