I cant say i've ever had any problems with my renault dealer. The salesman i deal with knows exactly what he is talking about with the sports range of cars. He does chat some s**t about the prices though, and has told me that the CUP is much much faster than the normal 172.
Service desk has...
I'd probably say its something to do with suspension iPap. reason i say this is as my Cup used to do it when i floored it hard, and it would wheelspin, knocking and banging like a goodun.
Recently had a new suspension leg put on, only on one side mind, but now if it spins up it is perfectly...
mine is the same,
the bracket on the backbox has rusted off. i've welded it a couple of times but every time you hit a hard bump it falls off again.
im going to get a magnex for it instead.
Its not "that" bad. I dont like the lexus lights, but never have. The rest is ok though.
I would be interested to hear what £2k was spent on though, as the mods stated wouldnt come anywhere near that price.

Please tell me thats not anyones off here!
I'd hate to think what happend to the subs when the car crashed!
I certainly wouldnt want to be sat in the back...
I'll have a little fiddle tomorrow then.
The only other thing i touched was the light in the boot. It was unplugged and the wire hanging there. It was pissing me off not having any light in the boot, so i plugged it back in. I'll unplug that again tomorrow and see if it makes any difference...
What generally causes these to come on, with the service light?
Basically i was adjusting the headlights today on my CUP, as they were slightly high for some reason.
But after doing so, and getting back in the car, the orange airbag light and the serv light were on.
Anyone got any ideas why?
thats a photoshop, and a bad one at that. I've seen some much better shops on here for a V6 version.
As far as i know, they wont be making a V6 version, as they say the sport model will be enough.
On my old 1.2 i was running a genesis 4 and a genesis sub amp, both off the battery, through a power cap (which im now led to believe dont do s**t).
I never had a problem with my battery or the alternator, so i cant see how a small amp like yours would have any major effect on it.
I had one on my 1.2 (before i found this site), and it was crap. Yeah it made the car feel a little quicker/more responsive. However, it was unstable, as the car would sometimes run fine and smooth, then other times it would be very jerky. It uses more fuel too, so the MPG goes down with it on...
OMG!!!!
I cant believe you guys are still arguing over which is better!
I looked at this thread the other day, and read up to page 3, then got bored of the "Evo's are better!" "No, the V6 is better!"
WHO CARES!
The guy has decided what he wants to do, everybody has different tastes/needs...
The only reason i could see in having an electronic turbo (a proper one from garret) is that it would have no lag at all, as it would constantly be spinning at the right speed to come on boost straight away.
But wheres the fun in that, the whole fun in a turbo car is flooring it and when it...
Basically i am planning a few things for the cup over the next few months or so.
At the moment its standard,
My plans are
182 Manifold (well at least a 4-2-1)
De-cat
Magnex rear section
BMC CDA (or what ever they are called)
Inlet manifold matched by Ben_r
Re-map of the standard ECU, or...
Looks good, i'd like to do mine at some point. i think i'll get the electric sander on it first off though, lol.
My dad polished the frame of one of his motorbikes when i was younger. Took him weeks of polishing, but looked the muts nuts when it was done.
A girl at work has a 1.5dci and last week her orange light which tells you when the glow plugs are up to temp wouldnt go off, and keeps coming on and going off, along with a warning light (i think she means the STOP light).
She took it to her local garage, and they replaced the glow plugs as...
