Buy a set just for track use? That's what I've done, and have got some s**tstuff's for daily use. The CL's are unbelievably good, my chest was killing from the harnesses digging in, thats how good they are!
Other stuff from Sunday:
Bought a rear strut brace and painted it met grey. Doesn't do anything but I wanted it to make the rear look a bit less like a van lol:
Also picked up some 15's for the track. I was originally going to just use the turinis, but at least I can use the carbon...
Collectors is supposed to give a slightly better finish over the concours but doesn't have quite the same durability. Ive used the concours before and it's decent enough, although I don't know if I'd buy it if I already had 476S to use. Definately much easier to apply/remove than 476S though...
Nice work, Perfect Vee!
Got some days off next week to detail mine, 1 day off removing the RDS with 3.02, and the next day perfecting it with PO85 ;)
What did you make of the Saphir anyway? Noticeably better than onyx?
It was ok, just nowhere near as impressive as the bh. Could of been that the car was too contaminated for the polyclay to deal with it as well as the bh did.
It's difficult to compare the hard bh to the others mentioned as it's more for heavily contaminated cars, whereas others like the fine...
Went to Birchdown on Thursday for the belts to be done, top service!!
Grp N Engine mount fitted:
Made a big difference, no knocking, and pretty much no lurching when on/off the throttle too! Happy days :)
Oil and filter change (shagged mount in this pic too!):
Also I finally got...
Can't believe I wasn't consulted first :(
1L of the snowfoam won't last all that long. I've not been all that impressed with the ph-neutral tbh, I'd be tempted to try something like the bilt hamber auto foam instead.
Clay wise I'd go bilt hamber again, I've only tried the hard stuff but its...
You're in the same situation as me! I got offered a similar deal, but I'm still waiting for the iphone :o
Not a lot of phones out there at the moment that can rival it, thats the problem!
Good work! Yep about 4-5cm or so square is about the size you want once you've flattened it.
Just keep a spray bottle of water to hand and keep things well lubed.
Might be worth having 2 pieces of clay and keeping one in a tub of hot water then switching between them, this keeps the clay...
I used an old mitt wrapped around a hoover attachment to do the wheel backs before PPC lol :o I did have one of those vikan brushes which was good until I used it to scrub off some cv boot grease!
Think I just went for the yellow (finishing?) pad, supposed to work well with PO85RD.
Anyway...
Nice work! Mondial blue is such a nice colour when detailed :)
How did you find the menz pads? Just ordered a few myself. I'm really tempted with that EZ brush too, but not sure if I can justify £16 for a brush lol :o
