You're probably going to regret saying that :p Cheers though, will definately drop you a PM at some point!
lol can't beat a beat of bling :o
Got a bit more motivation after seeing your beast now too!
Cheers for the rest of the comments!
When I've compared the two I've always find the bilt hamber works much quicker and pulls off more contamination. I'm not saying the megs kit is bad, it's ok if you're after a mild clay, but the OP has said the car has never been clayed and is in a bad state, therefore I'd always recommend the...
Si what have I told you about trying to give advice :p
I'd probably swap the SRP/EGP for some Carlack Nano Care and Collinite 476S, tends to give better results on previously unloved cars IMO.
For a car that's never been clayed the megs kit isn't enough IMO. One of the cars I've detailed had been parked near a building site for some weeks and there were metal fillings all over the paint which has started to rust, the bilt hamber got all of it off with ease!
Bilt hamber hard clay, trust me 100% with this!
Will pull off so much more crap than the megs stuff, you don't need a lube for it either, just water ;)
Cheers guys. Seems I've been spending ages on it but not actually achieved a lot lol.
I used to think the exhaust was too long but tbh with it sitting right under the bumper it looks much smaller and it's grown on me tbh.
888's were just temp while my other wheels were being refurbed...
Really don't know why dodo is so popular tbh, used it once and sold. Collinite and clearkote are my favourites that I own, although I've been impressed with swissvax onyx and zymol concours too.
Havn't done anything substantial lately, so here's the few bits I've done:
Gave the underside a clean, polished the zaust up, waxed the dampers. Was a bit dirty before!:
Braided hoses:
Had fitted some carbon lorraines, but they were nailing my wheels, so I'm just keeping them for...
Well I've tried adjusting the handbrake (which has been tightened up quite a bit) which has had no effect. It seems as though it's pulling the lever on the caliper fine, as I can't pull the handbrake all the way to the top.
When using the footbrake the rear brakes worth, both apply an even...
Only used concours, was really impressed with it. Spose it should be impressive for £160 though lol. Doesn't get good reports durability wise on dw, would probably choose BOS if looking for a higher end wax tbh.
Looks good! I've gone for a eurow towel this time, see if it's any better than the miracle dryer.
God damn detailing, another £200 gone today :dapprove:
It is more of a 'regular use' wax, but you should still be getting a month out of it :)
I've bought some of this CG blitz which you boys seem to love, take it it's a kinda top up after a wash when you've already got wax on? That's what I planned to use it for anyway.
Havn't heard about that :S I've used onyx before, smelt proper good, easy on/off too. Tried some zyrnol concours too, was really impressed with that. Shame you can't get panel pots of this stuff!
Nay bad! Be interested to see what you think of the Saphir, was tempted with some BOS but I'd gladly save myself 55 quid if the results are just as good!
Best V6 going tbh :o
When I spoke to them they hadn't actually got one that they knew of that would fit the clio? Said I'd need to send in my current spring with some new measurements.
I spray it on the whole car, leave for a few mins, then dry and a quick buff after :)
I think I'll try some of this serious performance show car detailer next, seems to get good reviews.
I get a similar problem, feels like it holds back then it hits about 2700rpm and then revs fine :S Only ever happens when leaving work though, any other time (even leaving the house first thing on a morning) its fine! :S
Should I feel honoured :p
I think the LT is meant to be more of an aid so to speak, as it doesn't offer any sort of protection compared to the likes of red mist.
Without trying to steal si's thread, anyone got any experience of red mist/zaino z8 etc etc? Been looking to try a decent qd for...
lol I'm not, I'm just saying it doesn't seem worthwhile using the last touch as a qd as the results are nowhere near the same as using a bit of glaze or a wax (albeit it does take a bit more effort!).
Usually i dry the car with the last touch, then buff up with a microfibre. The finish is...
