Nah I sold my elise ages ago. Ive driven elises with nitrons, even 8 clicks from full hard all round the ride is quite good. Nitrons are the nuts though, well worth the expensive.
Thanks Simon. 182 and an elise is the perfect combination imho. Nitrons and a arb on an elise makes a whole lot of difference I found.
I got the RA2 for £320 brand new including free delivery from ebay.
I ordered the RA2 however now i wish i ordered a b2 seeing the installation above. From looking at the aboe the actual b2 unit does detach, i thought it was fixed in the car thats why i opted for the RA2.
1st - M3 CSL. The whole experience of this car inspires a constant subconscious/conscious f**k me. The noise (f*ck me), the handling on cup tyres (f*ck me), the exterior (f*ck me), the interior (fu**k me), under the bonnet (f**ck me), smg gearbox that does double declutching and heel & toe for...
I had exactly the same problem little newms however its the aa bloke thats dodgy, they dont know a thing a bout renault sports. If you have the rac call them out, its just a bolt that has come loose near the starter motor, the rac guy fixed a new bolt there for me and no problems.
I also had...
Anyone know if you have full comprehensive insurance on your cup, does that mean that you can drive anyonelses car and use the third party cover on it to do so?
Or is this a myth, having full comp allowing one to drive any car with third party cover, not sure im explaining right. Always had...
Fork out a few grand more and get one of the remaining prereg cups. It will work out cheaper in the end because your keep it for longer thus negating the need to change cars and lose money, the warranty will be longer etc.
Cup is the best thing since sliced bread. If your coming from a williams there really is no other car for you although id choose a new williams over a new cup any day.
Just make sure you get some sought of inspection on it, because alot of them have been tracked(its a crime not too though...
Its good to learn about the cups main rivals. Sooner or later the cups gonna need some kind of engine transplant to keep up, i was thinking v10 m power.

Maranello, 24 August 2004 – The F430 signals the arrival of a brand new generation of Ferrari 8-cylinder models. This new car takes Ferrari’s extraordinary achievements with aluminium technology, begun with the 360 Modena, to a whole new level, and offers a series of extremely significant...
Seat ipisas not a rival though, its a lard bucket golf underneath with harley davidson inspired handling. Cup is a stripped out lightweight hot hatch, its only current rival is the dc5.
IMHO none of these cars are rivals to the cup -lupo/polo gti, ibiza cupra r, mg zr 160, civic type r, 206 gti. Rivals would be williams, corrado vr6, teg, early golf gti, the best fwd cars etc - not saying the cup is as good as these rivals though.
A tear fell from my eye reading all the nasty comments they had about the cup. They seem to overstate the bad points and understate the good points. I don’t know about the mk2 but the mk1 ctr handled terribly when I drove one, totally boring and uninspiring. In addition there is a £6000...
Also with a csl as long as you choose different tyres to the cups running costs aren’t that bad for a sports car. It’s lighter than a normal m3 so better slightly better mpg, plus it’s automatic so easier for in town driving.
In regards to the downloads, you need to get emule or similar...
Well I have an evo 8 at the moment. For any evo you have to get them serviced every 4500 miles or 6 months. I’m sure a csl is no where near evo running costs. I ask about running costs in regard to a v6 clio because I’d need another car for commuting to London everyday.
The one thing holding me back is the weight issue, 1400kg. Why do they weigh so much? An evo viii weighs 1420kg and that’s four wheel drive and has toys like active yaw control.
CSL is a different league; plain ol m3 is just an estate agents/hairdressers ride to me I’d rather wait for the v8 version. If a v6 can provide similar supercar thrills I’m thinking it would be a better option. Also speed isn’t everything to me, I think cars can be fun without being immensely...
