Can you use oil designed for diesel engines in petrol engines? I'm sure I've read somewhere you can because the only difference is there's more cleaning agents in the the diesel oil.
Only reason I ask is because I was after some oil today and no where seemed to have 5w 40 for petrol engines...
My bonnet is covered in little stone chips and it's got the point it annoys me every time I look at the car, even more when other people make comment about it.
I know you can buy a touch up pen/pencil to help hide them but what other alternatives are there as I'm really cack handed when it...
Bit of weird one this but just after a 190 mile trip I decided to lift up the bonnet, not sure if this is normal but the inlet plenum and fuel rail guard were cool. I know the electric fan helps prevent everything overheating but I never knew it was that efficient lol. Granted it was pissing...
Bit confused to be honest, had the plenum off today and the ports on the inlet looked good (smooth and even) if that makes sense but the ports on the plenum looked rough.
When you have matched inlets I take it the ports on both the plenum and inlet are suppose to be even and smooth? I was...
As above, just curious due to the lack of driver aids on the Cup. I've never seen or heard of anyone doing it but surely someone must have?
Edit: ignore the spelling fail in the title it's suppose to be "ever" not "every"
Been removing my fuel rail guard alot recently as I'm in the process of polishing up, anyway while removing the nuts that hold it on this morning I managed to drop one down in to the engine bay (obviously never seeing that again). My Fuel rail guard is only held on with one nut now, although it...
Was driving along at a steady speed and all of a sudden I heard a loud snap come from the underside of my car then about 10 seconds later my exhaust note became louder.
Pulled over and had a look under the car and I noticed one of the bolts holding the centre section to the cat and completely...
Think it was called Run To The Sun.
Saw quite a few RS Clios down there while I was in Newquay weekend just gone. Also saw a liquid yellow 182 followed by a blue 1*2 closely behind it on the M6 today.
I downloaded and installed Vista Black edition (I think it's called) a few months ago but like an idiot I installed it over the original version of Vista that was installed when I 1st bought the computer instead of creating a new partition and installing it on there.
My question is, is it...
05 plate. Overtook me in the outside lane then moved over and exited the M62 for the M6, as I pulled along side the lad driving let on and I let on back.
Not sure if this is in the correct section but it is Clio related!
Has anyone has any dealing or had any experience with them?
I'm seriously contemplating selling my Cup due to all the niggley little problems I'm having with it. I'm starting to loose interest in it because of it and you've...
Had the front wheels off my car this morning and had a quick look at my CV boots on both sides, the driver's side boot seemed fine and when you squeezed it there was resistance (like when you try and squeeze a plastic bottle full of air with the lid on) but when I did the same with passenger...
Had my de-cat fitted at Prospeed today, everything was great, engine management light didn't come on which was a nice surprise. Anyway during my journey home the airbag and SERV light kept lighting up :S.
I've had them come on before and cured it by wiggling the wires under my passenger seat...
I'm pretty sure my car has been re-mapped by the previous owner, I wasn't told that it had been by the previous owner but I have the higher rev limit. It'll rev right up to around 7700/7800. (Not that I take it up that far often)
My question is, if I was to try and get the car back to the way...
I was heading up towards middlebrook in Horwich, you passed me on the opposite side of the road. Car had an oval back box below the bumper, looked like a Magnex back box.
Me and a few mates decided to drive to Knutsford yesterday, think it was Knutsford, wasn't that far away from Jodrall Bank. Passed a LY megane on the way there.
While we was parked up my mate decided to take some photos of the cars, so no blaming me for picture quality :rasp...
I've stripped the rear seats and seat belts out of the rear and my plan was to cover the metal with carpet, does anyone know where I could get some?
I'd have just left the metal showing but the previous owner has stuck that Dynamat soundproofing s**t down and I don't fancy trying to get it up.
Recently fitted an exhaust to my car and after a couple of days I noticed condensation leaking from the join between the cat and centre section.
Performance hasn't been effected but there must be a very small leak there. I'd opened the join up and smeared exhaust paste in there and bolted it...
I know it's probably been asked and answered on here but I've searched and can't seem to find a thread that answers my question.
If I was to remove the rear seats would it fail an M.O.T?
I'm missing the seat belt buckles that sit in the middle of the rear seats and I was just looking for an...
Just realised something strange. While under my car fitting my exhaust I noticed there was a pair of nuts and bolts just before the cat.
Looking at the pictures of the de-cat pipe for the 172 the pipe just runs from the cat to the manifold.
My question is are standard cat pipes on the 172s in...
