Have a look at the exhaust mani to cat bolts i noticed 1 of mine are loose!!!! And when wobbled the noise is exactly the same!! Could be nothing but worth a check

How much do agency charge to rebuild the clio box? Mines got a whine and rattle no crunches ... heard there pretty good... and sod dsg the alignment tool.is nearly 1k alone! Seen plenty of garages thru work send back dual mass and clutches as its like a 15 hour job...

Either way exhaust centre is like £50 from ecp if not less... rear wheel bearings inc discs are like £85 in pagid ... and front bearings are like 40 each or only around 60 from renault i think .... 550 is too much and even if you need a new indicator stalk any one off a scrap clio ... £20-30...

Failed on a wobbly indicator stalk ? That's a new one as long as all the indicators and lights work as per the stalk that's all that matters mine passed mot with a duct taped on gear knob ..... Don't ask about that long story

Mine does this only underload or on overrun it's mainly 2nd it's loudest but it's all through the gears ... Think it could be the clutch either the bearings dead or I've broken a bit of the clutch off and it's rattling around the box.... I have a bit of a bearing whine but no crunches into any...
