Come along pal, i understand this isn't to everyones taste, but its something different, theres food, theres things to watch, theres other cool cars there.
More the merrier! Be good to meet you man.
So there's an open track day at Lydden hill on the 31st of this month, going to pop down for a social and maybe a session or 2 on track.
Though it would be a good opportunity for a small social meet with something to watch
Only odd little things, like mine has phase 2 stalks for some reason, don't have any holes in the grill trim for the alarm button thing and same in the boot plastics, odd but good lol yeah wasn't bad was it.
Was some very nice cars there today, the track phase 1 was so nice!
Was good to compare mine to a few others as well, made me realises mine seems to be a bit odd and different in some ways lol
So not a lot has gone on, except for my waterpump deciding it didn't fancy holding water any more which to be honest, was pretty inconvenient, stopped at a petrol station on the way to mine, and then on the 5 minute drive from there, it had dropped all its coolant.
So i got on the case of...
Very nearly did this myself, was only when I went to order a gasket and couldn't find one that I asked my mate who has one and he told me not to lol
Happens to the best of us pal
£150-£200 sounds more reasonable. I won't name the place as have heard that they are very very good at what they do, just seems very steep for a few hours of relaxed work and probably 2 hours if we put our minds to it. Considering the parts cost me £50 all on, that's £330 of labour.
I did think this was steep, just called the same place to see what i get quoted by them. While i was doing the job i did think it didn't seem like a £400 job, especially as specialists will have certain specific tools and know how to do things properly.
