Your first reply is exactly what I'm thinking. My car is stored dry, but a trackday can be wet or partially wet, and I don't want to be cleaning under the car after every event.
I've done a search, but couldn't find the answers I'm looking for.
Has anyone got experience with both? Is there a real world difference that it's actually worth it to choose on off them? How about reliability? How do the Whiteline rear beam bushes compare to these?
It's for a track only car...
I feel stupid for asking, as I've done it before, but how do you disconnect the inner loom from the engine loom? Obviously I've loosened the bolt, but I just can't get them apart.
Apparantely my buddy @sjaakmeister wasn't really happy with our conclusion that it was just fuel which caused the car to die because of the lights which lid up on the dash, as can be seen at the end of this video.
He sent me a very usefull link to do a bit of simplistic diagnosting, which...
Yesterday it was time to go to Racepark Meppen, a small track just 20 minutes from my house. I wanted to go there for a while, and now the opportunity was there. Although in the middle of december, the weather was not ideal, but at the end of the day, the track dryed up, and laptimes increased...
Well, the adapter plate and modified flywheel from EFI are more than the price difference between the LSD's.
For handling the power, offcourse, it makes sense. But so does using a 20VT for big power instead of an F4R I suppose?
Old thread, I know , but at least, I've done the search. :)
The question I have is about the AEM FIC ECU and Custom file for OEM ECU . How does this work, and how do you install it and get it working, if you order the DIY kit.
:ROFLMAO: (y)
Check my project thread for lightening of the interior loom, my engine loom is pretty much standard.
I have the immobiliser deleted from the ECU, and this also gave the possibility to remove the UCH. This is a Phase 1 though, I believe phase 2 and 3 are more complex loom wise.
I love it when people develope their own stuff, and I'm also interested in these parts.
But doesn't the bumpsteer need to be altered again, between the two stages of the Roll Centre kit?
Yesterday it was time for another trackday, finally. I was really excited, the weather forecast was very good all week, untill the day before.
First I need to update on my bootlid, I've made the polycarbonate rear window.
It didn't work out as nice as I wanted it to, because of the...
Good posting. I like that you are modifying such an expensive car. Only comment I have is that when you do 8.13 on the Nürburgring, you should wear a helmet, obligatory or not.
If you ask me, these two things don't go together. Weight reduction is only beneficial if you go hardcore. Saving 200 kg will make a difference, saving 20 kg's is like a full tank or half a tank of gas.
To answer your question, I saved about 12 kg's with the rear 3 windows, but I made them...
Mine's been leaking since I've got, I've ignored it since. I want to do something about it, but I'm afraid it will be a never ending story like you've described above.
I also got the splitter finished. Very excited about this, can't wait to see what this does on track.:cool:
It's mounted in 5 points, 3 in the front, and 2 between the wheels. It still flexes a bit on the front, I'll see how it goes, and if necessary I will add splitter rods or...
I did a top speed run on the German Autobahn with the Golf. Pretty sure theres a bit more in it, as I had to let go of the gas because I was closing in on some other traffic. But I'm happy with the pace of the Golf, also because it handles the speed so well. For the UK people on here, 273 km/h...
