When I did it on my last car I fitted the exhaust then marked the center of the exhaust on the bumper, then I used an exhaust surround from a 182 to draw the cut out after centring it against the line, after cutting the bumper I just filed it out a tad and it was a perfect fit :)

If the boot isn't split and the cv joint is ok then just re pack with cv grease and new boot clip/jubilee clip. Had exactly the same on mine, new grease & clip been fine ever since.

Very easy, bit of penetrating fluid on both ends of the old pipe and it came off no problem, can't wait to feel the difference in braking.
