Put the correct gearbox in it. It's hot and miss if you have the correct abs module in it to supply vehicle speed to the clockset.

The track on a 1.2 subframe is also narrower. The bolts on the wishbone holes are further inboard.

Also exhaust is NOT 80nm+86. That'd strip the threads I reckon. It's 30+86.

IMO any more than 270lb-ft and you're asking for trouble, the megane rods are no different to the likes of the 197 ones. Chip bent rods on his, and his was only doing the likes of 260/270lb-ft. You are aware rod bolts don't increase the torque capability of the rods aren't you? The problem...

Sadly it's gone past the point of knowing. Poor tolerances, lack of oil pressure at some point, Dirt in the build etc.

Sadly it's not just a case of fitting the spare crank matt, the swarf will be everywhere internally, and most likely the head and cams will also be damaged.
