Ah right! I’ve read bits and pieces about that - where is the PCV valve/MAF sensor? I’ve only had the bonnet open once so far to check the oil, not had a good nose around it yet! Aye 99 is what i put in mine also.

Aye i’m aware remaps aren’t that beneficial to n/a engines, chasing power in the F4R is an expensive exercise.

Aye i’m starting to think a remap may be on the cards if it can at all flatten it out, the on/off twitchiness of it makes junctions a fking headache

These really are very planted motors when sending it on - not quick by any stretch but then they are fairly lardy over the Mk2’s. Plan is to get the gearbox out and inspected with the synchros all replaced if thats what it needs - a very slight grind between 3rd-4th higher up the rev range...
