the small air con rad under the scuttle panel is still there and the recirculation flap. What I was thinking was due to the recirculation flap still being there (has an electrical supply) and now being redundant it's may be causing fuses to blow.
I'm in the process of removing it all now just...
Right, I've checked around the resistor and the plug that plugs in to it. Nothing looked a miss other than resistor looking a little corroded.
Something I didn't mention was I've recently removed my aircon but I've not removed the the parts of the aircon set up that lye under the scuttle...
Also "Rover Stone Grey" from Halfords is a very good match for it too. Pretty sure they do a touch up pen kit in that colour.
If you search for "Rover Stone Grey" on here there's a thread knocking about with a comparison photo.
Agreed. I made mine for £36 lol. Granted it's nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as some of the examples in this thread but it does exactly the same job. My car made a healthy figure on EFI's RR with it fitted too.
Got an issue with the blowers, a couple of weeks ago they stopped working (no air blowing through). Anyway I found a blown fuse, replaced it and everything was fine until today. Started the car and noticed they weren't working again and found another blown fuse, replaced the fuse and it blew...
Yeah those two seem to be the only places that stock them now, I'm a bit wary of Venom cos a mate has had issues with them before and never heard of Europerformance before.
I remember looking at them last year and a lot of companies seemed to stock them, Kam Racing, Larkspeed etc, don't anymore though. Thing with the Spax RSX's they're quite a new coilover aren't they? and perhaps that was a reason for the delay?
Have these been discontinued now if anyone knows? I was looking at replacing my current coilover set up with some Konigsport's but finding places that stock them very limited.
Which version of it? When it was at it loudest I'd have never got on track with it, it was on the same level as Seb's/Joey's mx-5 loud lol. Didn't have a problem getting on track with the way it is now though.
Take your cat with you just incase you fail the noise regs Joe. Rob91 (black mk2 clio track car) was on the borderline with a decatted Yozza when he had that at Oulton last year.
As JonG said my air-con had stopped and I removed it. It's definitely made a noticeable difference, granted it's nothing spectacular but the engines feels sharper. It also gives me more room in the engine bay due to not having air-con pipes in the way.
Apologies for the late reply, only just noticed this but yeah I'll have a look for the part number, whether it'll still be there though I don't know lol.
Upper gearbox mount: http://www.eurocarparts.com/engine-mount
Upper engine mount: http://www.gsfcarparts.com/101re0330
GSF do list that upper engine mount for a Kangoo van IIRC but it's exactly the same as the 1*2s mount.
Not to sure where you could get the lower gearbox mount from tbh as...
Yeahhhh that's what I was thinking. There is something mentioned in their fitting guide on their site saying they don't alter the ride height but was just after some confirmation from someone who's fitted them before buying them.
I know there's numerous threads about these but I've not come across anything that answers my following question.
Do these topmounts lower the front of the car down like the AST solid topmounts do?
I previously had the ASTs fitted and it lowered the front of the car down roughly 15mm and due...
Where from? Or is that trade prices?
Can get the contitech one from ECP for £11 with the discount they have on at the moment, that's the cheapest I've found them.
Just for future reference. Can get pk6 1310 belts from Camskill http://www.camskill.co.uk/m28b0s2592p14544/_DAYCO_POLY_RIB_BELTS_PK_BELTS_-_Poly_Rib_Belt_-_6PK1310_
Or Eurocarparts...
What size is the aux belt meant to be with the kit? The belt I've got is 6pk 1300, is that correct because it appears to be to short to fit. Fitted all the brackets correctly but the belt just won't fit over the alternator pulley.
Any advise would be much appreciated
The pulley on the alternator, is it held on with a normal nut or is it one of those spline nuts that require a tool to remove them if anyone knows?
Edit: Should have mentioned I meant a mk2 alternator.
