lol have you seen how much it costs? Was 138.9 last time I looked round my way! V power is 116.9! I always go for V power; would try the tesco 99 ron but nowhere sells it near me.
You can water the megs QD down a little if you like so it lasts longer :)
With the SRP I tend to do everything inc sills and the inside of the tailgate etc. It's not just a case of putting it on then taking it off; it needs to be worked in for 2 minutes or so to allow the polish to work...
I got myself a Talex Lite for about 55 quid from aldi a few years back. It's not a bad bit of kit for the money and has saved me a few times. Does get annoying when it keeps telling you every time you approach a mobile camera zone. Has never let me down or given a false alert since I've had...
Ditto what Rich said. Basically keep the paintwork well lubed and keep going over with the clay till the paint feels super smooth. Wash the car first obviously, then you dont need to dry it just go straight onto the claying. After that wash it again then dry it and then you can add the SRP...
Not seen em on a clio, but a mate has some on his civic. Unfortunately the lip is quite big on them which makes them appear smaller than what they actually are.
Cheers, that shouldn't be too difficult. I'm guessing I can just use the standard pipe with it or buy a samco. From the maxogens I've looked at it seems like the intake bit is a different length for different cars so I'm hoping it'll be about the right size.
A mate of mine has got one which I might have off him but it wasn't bought for a clio. I'm guessing it'll fit but will the dimensions etc be the same as a clio?
If anyone with a maxogen could give me a few basic dimensions such as circumference of the main box and the diameter of the hole that...
Ditto, much quicker and easier to use a tar remover as with clay all you're doing is skimming bits off the top which will take forever.
Autosmart Tardis is good for this, but AG stuff should be fine too.
Wet look = Clearkote moose wax + Clearkote carnauba wax
Flake popping action = Blackfire gloss enhancing polish + Blackfire Midnight sun.
They're my current choices. Collinite 476S for durable winter wax. Vics concours for a 'general' good wax.
The blackfire tyre stuff is good :)
Clay...
Alpine will sell you a replacement fascia for a head unit, well they used to anyway. Found that out when my old car got broken into :dapprove:
Best things to do:
- Empty out the glovebox and leave it open when you park up
- Don't leave anything in the car, it's not hard for them to look...
Well if the standard system is 2", surely for a slight increase in power a slightly bigger exhaust (i.e. no bigger than 2.25") would be ideal? Renault can't have got it that far off with the standard system.
Meaning heavily modded I take it rather than because of the exhaust lol?
If I was only going as far as breathing mods (inc matched inlets) and remap would I be better off with something like 2.25?
