I dropped the engine from my ph2 today, unlike the mk1's which have 2 plugs to disconect the engine loom from teh car this had one big plug, but it was also wired in witht he headlights e.t.c so i took it out with all the wireing attached, this isnt a problem. However when i take the engine...

Stand alone is expensive! Do you think i can use the loom on the car? it was cable tb.

The ph1 outside my house has 1 hose in! It is the twin lambda loom to. Does this mean i will need an earlier loom aswell?

Going to be deoing this conversion soon, ive noticed on the ph1 172 fuel rail there is no pressure regulator and just one fuel line going to it, where as on my mk1 there is 2 lines and a pressure regulator, how do i over come this when doing the conversion?

Just looked at the measurements adn that does look about right! a bit wider though

This is advertised for sale on C16v for £650, i REALLY need the space for a certain ph1 172 ive seen, i will sort an ad on here today. problem being i didnt get teh logbook as previous owner lost all paperwork, ive applied for it but it hasnt come yet, otherwise it would be on ebay this second.

Mk1 conversion, single lambda easy, twin lambda pain in the ass.

With the 172 being parked up for good tommorrow i needed something to use for a while, this came up so i bought it, its pretty standard bar momo wheel and welded diff, Trip to the scrap yard tommorrow will hopefully see me getting the indicator lense and orange reflector to tidy it up a bit...

A friend at work picked one up for £35k - ALOT of car for the money, on the downside the insurance for him was £7k

No led's and ive not used the others, the main diffrence i think is the h pattern and clutch pedal, and big paddle's rather than the buttons

The gt pro as flappy paddles, though they arnt big paddle's but buttons on the back of the wheel, for a third of the price of the G27 and half the price of a second hand G25 you cant go wrong! That wheel stand, does the pole in the middle not get in the way ?

I have the logitech gt pro, if you can find it in argos your get it for £80, otherwise online thier well over £100 now (with the f1 and gt hype) I got the last one in the local argos and most are sold out

i have all aids on except braking assist (that was doing my head in) ive done the first 2 race's in career with lotus, havn't had (or maybe its havn't noticed) any of the bugs or AI problems, but now i will be looking for it all. This thread has ruined the game for me ;) Still its great fun...

1.56 though i havn't really tried, that was done racing online with logitech wheel and plenty of mistakes
