Yeah I'm good mates with Dave, he now works in our engine lab with me. We have a good crack together and get on well.
I love the C2, it's a cracking little car :)
Big thanks guys.
Glad you like it. It's taken a lot of money and even more man hours to get it where it is now.
You can drive it away for an offer over £25K if you like ;)
I believe Chris was called Ming, Christopher Johnson.
Yes he's a good mate of mine. Koen, doesn't work in engine R&D, because I do lol. I think he's still an apprentice, maybe finished now? Nice lad, worked with him in our area.
As for my car, I'm not really pushing a sale. If it sells it...
Yes Steve, it's always surprised me at how good one fuel it is.
Ive worked it out at the pumps too and the computer is pretty much spot on too. Granted I don cane it about so much anymore, but not worried about putting my foot down. She's never gone below 33mpg average and that includes trips...
Something deffo wrong.
I do 52miles a day commute on country lanes, A & B roads. Even when I give her death I still get 34mpg. Driving normally I get 38 mpg and on the motorway I get 42/44.
I only use Tesco Momentum fuel and the car has done approx 40k miles with zero modifications.
Kind...
Lol,
There will always be people out there that "know better" and think a car isn't worth it's price. That's fine, that's their opinion and they're entitled to it.
However there are also people that do see value in something and are willing to pay accordingly. Interestingly, I've not had one...
Well it's cheap to buy as it is dude, over the 8 years we've been together I've put way over £60 grand into it.
Beauty part is I don't need to sell, so we will see what comes along.
You don't need to write off the UK debt. Just make me a good offer over £25 grand and ill consider it. :)
Lol, that's offers over £25K lads. At any price I'm gonna have to have the keys prised from my hands.
Ive put everything into this car, but I need to see if its time to move on. :)
Here goes,
Firstly I really have no idea where to begin with talking about selling my car.
I've owned her for the last 8 years of which in that time I've poured my heart and soul into it.
I've reached a time in my life where I want a new direction. I'm a huge car enthusiast and would like...
Fitted some more bushes today inc new poly gearbox cradle bushes, poly outrigger bushes, new poly gearbox mount and a full solid delring gear linkage bush kit.
Took her for a quick test drive, and the gearchange is now so precise its like a bolt action rifle, love it!!!
Cheers guys.
Yes the white fiesta st was built and owned by my good friend Chris. He is ex Mountune and the car runs the full Mountune 200 kit approx 205 Bhp. It's stripped and weighs approx 1000kg. KW suspension, st170 brakes etc.
Built for trackdays and fast road.
Hey guys,
Some of you know i work at the Ford R&D Technical Centre in Dunton, Essex.
As you can imagine im one of a few hundred car mad petrolheads working there every day. Many of which like me have their own ideas of motoring nirvana of all shapes and sizes. Some are modern performance cars...
Id obviously only paint the shroud, not the actual exhaust. I'd use VHT which is rated at 400c.
See how we go, but looks alright as it is. As long as it copes with. Heavy ALS use it should be fine. :)
I've been cleaning some bits on the car in the sun this morning. Weather was too nice to miss. The engine bay still looks smart and it's been back on the road almost a year now.
Couple of extra snaps of the exhaust shroud too.
210bhp and 900kg sounds like a wicked laugh. I bet that's a fantastic drive. My Clio is a cup packed full fat with all the toys and still feels so agile.
I used to be the same with entry speed right up to about 400bhp. The subaru chassis is very very good and you can get on the power early to...
