Done that. It would appear that the logic board is potentially the root of the problem. £100 punt on a replacement I think cross fingers and swap the boards to see if works - I don't like the sound of that.

I've got a 2TB E-sata that has failed. It powers on and you can hear it spinning and reading, then it just powers down and thats it. Anyone used any companies to restore these? I could really do with the photos of the youth that are on there, everything else is backed up FFS.
