Way i've learnt to check for bearings is. spin the wheel and hold the shock. You should feel it not being smooth.
The amount of wheel bearings on clios I've done none have had play that I can feel by shaking it
You sure. I just had a look at one and its the other way round lol.
I've always said petrol engines at 36k and diesel at 40k
I've just done a write up as your lazy :D
Mk1 Clio Servicing Petrol
Every 6,000 Miles.
Body work
Inspect under body, Wheel arches, Opening elements
Check condition of exhaust and its mountings.
Engine
Drain and re-fill oil.
Check engine visually for leaks.
Gear Box
Check Oil Levels
Check visually for leaks.
Brakes
Brake fluid...
Alot of people are not understanding the write up in the service book
You have put Diesel and petrol in the wrong places :P
And the petrol major service is every 3 years:)
Now stop being lazy and do a write up :)
M Reg Ph3 :S
M = 1994 / 1995 :)
Phrase 3 = 1996 +
Did they even make a ph3 valver ?
:P Mr Haynes has had a mis-print in one of his pages :)
It will have an immobilizer if, It's only the ph1 valvers with out.
Has any one got a nice Mk1 Clio service intervals write up, Hopefully on A4 Paper size.
Just I get a lot of people asking what gets done at what intervals.
Cheers.
Pretty much how I do it. (can't remember if its the bottom expansion pipe tho) What ever one runs to the bulk head.
If it doesn't fix it. Then its a hard job :)
I would much rather do head gaskets / cam belts / bottom ends.
Then change a heater matrix :)
