Ow by the way I found it hard to undo the cable that goes to the coil-pack a b*****d to remove from the plenum. (not from the coil pack) It is on with a small ******* clip
Enjoy my L337 paint skills!
Marked are all the point you have to focus on.
Purple rounds and point are where the bolts are.
Square on the right is the throttle body
Green-lined = unknown to me but has to come off or you have to pull the plenum from under it.
Yellow is the coil-pack that has...
Undo the coils and then undo the sensor cable (last picture on the right of the plenum) (take off the complete coilpack and remove the cable from the plenum) (the sequence is on the coil pack and you should make sure you hook them up good)
I can't remember the cable going over the plenum, near...
Yeah well the problem is there are two bolts atleast that not just bolt onto the head (throught the inlet) but are bolted into the inlet manifold from the side and from the top.
If you are going to change the thickness of the gasket too much those bolts could be problem.
lol at the 7" diameter :P
I think it is 8 or 10mm since in France they use the metric system :P
You can easily disconnect it from the 90 degree bend airbox --> throttle body, and measure it. If I don't forget I can measure it tomorrow when changing fluids.
Yeah Frank I am a "genuine"...
I might see the fault here.
It's a 172 cup that has low weight and I read 1260 car weight in the graph. Should be more like 1100 with driver I think.
Then the power output will be much lower
Breathers are used when you change the bend to the throttle body on clios. (usually there's a pipe going from the cam-cover to the bend)
The breather makes sure the oil-damp stays in the cam-housing and not making a mess of your enginebay, but might aswell filter air when air is going into the...
lol haven't you read the second line in my post :P
Anyway I was just making a joke....seems people get a bit frustrated when cars get a sticker of the nurburgring when they haven't been on it.
Ow and the sticker should be on my board because it's faster then my car ;)
(Hope I did not...
Is it ok to stick one on my new snowboard? :)
Got a snowboard that is mostly black and need a sticker on it so I can see which is mine when leaving the "aprés-ski" bar!
Well the Renault Clio's RS 172/182 are known to produce less power then quoted. Yours seem to make that with "only" a panel filter, exhaust and remap (generic). Which are quit common mods.
I haven't got a RR or performance run (like you), but I doubt I get 124kW (that's what's quoted in...
Looks good Ed,
I think the program is made to make a performance run in 3th gear as it uses speed/rpm/weight and some more info that is given by the ECU.
Would like to see a graph from 1500 - 2000 rpm to 7000 rpm aswell :) But you car seems healty (what mod do you have?)
You can send you...
True ^^
If you check the boutique of renault-sport.fr you can get the part nummers of the things you need. (you already know I think)
They also sell a shield to seperate the enginebay from the battery bay. (so it's basicly a plate of steel between the engine and the battery, where the...
Well maybe not noticable, but I think the theory might be good. I also think the Ph1 filter has a large filter-area.
The flow area into the box isn't much smaller then the Cupracer (Espace V6) airbox, which is round 100mm. ( I think it is still a bit bigger then the Ph2 / 182 airboxes)
Another tip is to pick up a Ph1 172 airbox (at the breakers) and buy a decent filter for that.
Heard that airbox is a bit better then the Ph2 or 182 box.
(at the moment I buying one for 20 euro's (I guess about 15pounds), but still need the filter and pick up the airbox)
Hi frank,
Could you inform me when you have a price on posted to the Netherlands? Yeah I'm cheap, but maybe when the price is right we can buy 2 sets in one go.
And are you fitting them yourself?
Henk (fastchip) already told me these are good cams and the mild ones can be run with...
I got the same knock, but only when cold in the first minutes I drive my car. Also the the steering only knocks when in 0-position so when the wheel are pointing right ahead.
4300k is daylight (most light you get from Xenon) but most white aswell.
I changed to 6000k, and I think I notice the slightest change in light volume. (But my right-side light was on it way out, that's why I changed)
6000k is enough light for me, I only still think normal H4 - H7 lights...
No I did not do any work on the plenham, but I did smooth down that side on the lower manifold. (there is a big lip on the side)
BTW the gasket is 52x31mm
I got that one! It's nice yeah you don't have to replace it, but have to clean it every once in a while.
With that in the airbox and the side-feed disconnected you get more then enough sound when flooring it.
MR Felix :) who's that ?? :P
Anyway when cold weather disconnecting the hose on the right side of the box doesn't make any difference for heat soak I think (while driving)
In summer I would use an upgraded air feed
Just Felix
I haven't measured but there is a thread on here. I could measure the gasket since I have replaced mine. (will post tonight if I don't forget)
I think 51-52x31mm but as said I need to check
