I did the belts dephaser and pump ect on mine as soon as I got the car along with loads of other stuff small fortune spent then with ktec exhaust and filter it was mapped at efi by Chris and made a healthy 188bhp my cats now being replaced for a ktec sports cat which will help slightly tomoz but...

Hi mate decent little purchase it’s way down on power tho would deffo loose that filter and invest in a decent one or replace to a standard air box ? Who set the timing up on the car when belts were done ? This can make a big difference the service won’t see much difference I don’t think but...

It drove me insane for ages I know that timing can play a major factor after having advice on here it was fortunate I was getting belts done at the time, get the throttle body checked mate

Hi mate I went through this saga on my cup, I had a new throttle body on it and had the belts and timing done and it’s fine now had a map on it which has cured wobbly cold starts

I am not doing it for any performance gains mate just the best option I had no plans to change, what exhaust have u got on ur cup ? Do u know if sports cat makes it much louder ?

It’s should do mate providing they warm it up correctly before texting my cat has corroded so I am putting a sports cat on next week was much cheaper than a oem one

Looks lovely nice find, keep the exhaust set up ect and take up to efi and get mapped will really make a difference on the car. Enjoy ?

I agree with all the above I now have a 172 cup and previous a modified ep3 the steering on the civic was awful despite all the upgrades the cup is in a different league handling wise
