Is it the cambelt change service? otherwise a £400 price hike is a little excessive. I assume its a phase 2, sounds reasonable, certainly not above average.

i always find the best thing to do is look on autotrader for similar cars / specs and compare to that. Maybe 6 - 6.5k? at a guess

wouldn't think so, did you cut any wires fitting your cd player? if not, should have no influence on fog lights. Might be worth checking fuses though.
