Went out with Steve'o' yesterday around cheddar and the hills. Shame it was so busy but bumped into schweppy and co whilst scouting around.

My cup seems to suffering in the handling department. I am finding that when loading the car up, like going round a large round about whilst slowly building up speed. The car feels like it wants to break away and face the other way.

After reading up i bought some coolant from GSF and some Fuchs 5w40 oil. I recieved it all through today and im not sure whether the coolant is correct. I asked for the type d style renault stuff and I have been sent Fuchs Eskimo universal coolant and antifreeze. Is this correct? :S
Can anybody point me in the direction as to where I can buy oil in bulk. As gonna be doing a couple of 172's at a time and wondering if it will be better to buy in bulk.
I have just changed the rear brakes on my cup and all seems good. I have a small prob though for some reason the handbrake takes more clicks before it engages ( was about four clicks now about eight ) Is it normal to have to adjust the handbrake after new discs and pads?
Recieved my rear discs and pads today. The discs come with bearings fitted and they do seem good quality (Prob made of cheese!!). Didnt fancy paying renault prices seeing im told the rear brakes dont take much punishment on the clio.
Brakes international £110 inc Vat and delivery for discs and pads.
My cup seems to be developing a prob. If you are coming to a stop and you depress the clutch the revs fall a way as normal but then shoot up to about 1400 rpm before settling back down again.

Im just posting to ask if anybody else has noticed that their car smells of burnt fuel since they have had a decat fitted.
I notice it when i stop and get out of the car, i can smell it when walking away. My car also feels a little flat since fitting of the de-cat.

Just changing my gearbox mount under battery and noticed the long bolt that goes into gearbox pulled straight out. Im thinking there should be a nut on the end of it underneath, where it goes through the box am i correct.
Just had a go at changing the upper gearbox mount and i have a small prob. Im having trouble undoing the big nut in the middle of the mount. Does it need air gunning undone. I have tried all my tools and just seem to get flex from the mount.

After driving away from the southwest meet the old cup started misfiring when running and backfiring at idle. It seems worse up to 3K Rpm then gets better. Also on idle it starts to pop and backfire. There does not seem to be any lights coming on,on the dash. So whats the best place to start...
