Right call me picky but ive been listening out for rattles and vibrations inside my clios 182. Ive turned the vents off and started to drive. I can hear my passenger seat rattling (even though the dealer says it doesnt) when you have the buttons for the esp this makes a vibrating noise i think...

I dunno if its just started doing it or if it done it before but when im turning round corners on bumpy roads it feels as though the car it sliding (the front end) outwards. Is this due to the hard suspension. It seems very light when steering also. I havent checked my tyre pressures for a while.

OK SORRY. but any ideas, i think it was rear drive as its back end flew out on a rounderbout as i was trying to keep up with it. It was slowly goimg away

yeah i had about 1cm on the dip stick. I bought Magnetek the improved version which is supposed to improve effeciency. My head hangs in shame, my old 1.2 clio went low on oil after about 50,000 miles so i was shocked that it had all gone (well nearly all gone) after only 10k.

sorry i just cant seem to dfind it on my 182. I;ve done 10,600 miles and its flashing up oil and the "SERV" so i guess its low.

Im going to take this forums post in with me. And highlight the solutions which people have posted!! Its in for a mac of 3 days so hopefully that will be enough time to fix it!!

It is, i was told to bring it in for 6k safety check, so i did and they then told me they stopped doing it a "year ago". c**ts!!!

i hope it is something as simple as the above.

why would a pipe cause a clunk noise?

my car is going in for 3 days to see if they can fix the problem. I think i might print this page out and give them a copy as it may help them.

There seems to be a lot of common problems with the new 182s and probably clios in general, why dont renault actually do anything about it? Clunking noise when you leave go of the accelerator at low speeds Wipers stopping alltogether no matter what setting they are in squeeking...

Yes I have the cup pack and it does only happen when drivign very slow on fuul steering lock.

When making a full lock turn (either left or right) I hear a squeeking noise, well not exactly a squeek its more like a a spring (like the noise a pogo stick makes when jumping on it) what is this?

Mine is booked in for its 6k safety check. 6400 miles in two months, thats not bad going is it. But im keeping the car for ages so im not that bothered about the milage.

ok thanks dave, ill just tell them its making a clunk noise about a second after you leave go of the accelerator at low speeds in 1st / 2nd gear. I hope it gets fixed as its very annoying. Also my rattling passenger seat will have to be fixed again.

its the accelerator not the clutch. When ireverse off my drive and it also makes a clunk "noise" I can feel it as well in the accelerator pedel. Dunno what it is but surely it shouldnt to it. My brother has a clio 182 but his clicking is very quiet and also has the seem noise when reversing.

How can i stop my wing mirrors from whisltling? Its where the gap is which enables the mirrors to fold in, when i put my hand in front of the gap it stops whistling.

well they have told me to bring it in at 6k for a quick check. So ill tell them everything about it, seat and the noise after I take my foot off the accelerator.
