try new spark plugs first. its cheaper. If its misfiring badly though, its likely either them or the coil pack.

the blinking one is the overheating warning light iirc, the one to the right of that is the electric fault light. Perhaps the two combined mean the coolant temp sensor has gone. Not too sure though but it's an educated guess.

Do a search on here about the TDC sensor. But firstly, i would elminate battery problems. You can get battery testers for a couple quid.

yeah, but after all the others are removed, you can prise the arch out of the bumper side a little and get to the nut. Its about half way up and a "lip" holds it.

Dead easy to take bumper off. 6 - 8 nuts iirc.

could be the driveshaft. can you feel anything when it knocks? does it do it when going around round-abouts?

Have a look at the little black "nipple" thats visable by the seal when the doors open. The door should close onto it when shut, turning the light off.
