Get a big pair of grips and twists it off. Its glued on basically. Youll get a load of white powder from the plastics inside so a cloth over the centre console will save a lot of vacuum work.
Hate to say it but mine came out in about 15 mins following the guide.
You have to make sure that you push it toward the FRONT of the car not the toward you, then lift the screen end to disengage the clips. After that it should slide toward you and then take it out the passenger door.
Hi
I have a 10 inch Kenwood sub with a blue "tornado" cone but the model number isnt readable. Anyone know which this will be?
I need to find out the sealed enclosure size before I build a box for it.

Anyone know if these are any good. I know everyone is immediately going to say "Road Angel 2" or "Origin B2" but for the money...
After all radar and laser detection will be illegal soon so GPS is all you...

Dont think it does but the Parrot cuts the speakers anyway so you wont hear it...your CD will just keep playing silently.
Mounted my front 2 channel amp in the passenger footwell behins the glovebox, hardly needed any cable.
The rears and sub are running of a second amp in the boot.
As Pete said, unless you are wanting to run decent quality wire in which case you need to drill a hole in the a-piller skin just below the connector block (take off the doors to do this).
Then make a small hole in the rubber cable guide. Feed the wire through the whole in the car and into the...
There are + and - signs on the speakers but they arent obvious. If I rememeber correctly they are inside the connector surround on the actual speaker.
Youll have to match them to the wires by connector size.
Do not mount the X-overs toward the door skin, a lot of water ingress occurs in the doors and you want the x-overs toward the interior as the water runs down the skin and out the bottom and they will get wet.
I mounted my tweeters on the small plastic trim inside the door mirrors to save...
I wouldnt ask about power caps youll end up with a debate, opinions def split on that one.
If you want a steady flow of power to the amps then upgrade the battery and alternator.

Front tweeters are crap, change em. You think they are okay now but when u put in a decent HU and after markets speakers they will be the weakest link.
Plus unless you get component front speakers (ie if you fit co-ax in the front doors) you may end up with too much treble, cos you will...
Swap the front and rear speakers around mate. If the fronts are reno standard and the rears are decent after markets Id just move the rears into the front doors.
Fitting different speakers to the 172 and not uprating the HU is not going to give massive increases in performance, most distortion...

If you take the gear knob and gaiter off and it goes away then refit the know without the gaitor and see if it comes back.
If it doent go away then maybe you bent something if you forced off the old knob.
If not then check the fittings and make sure nothings catching etc.
