Im quite sure the ignition timing is controlled by the ECU but ill consult my haynes manual now.

All I know about this is that the code for the ECU is S101262105C this is the only relevant code. Maybe call Starchip and find out if it is compatible with the chip. As for fitting it, you need to be pretty handy with solder.

check the fuses. Try tapping the light a few times to see if its a bad connection.

My clio did the same. Replaced bulb and fuse just in case and still no joy. The switch was inside the gearbox and that was faulty so it could be either.

I know this sounds a bit simple, but are the tyre pressures exactly the same either side of the car. If one of the tyres, especially at the front is of a different pressure to the other then this would cause the car to pull to one side. Always best to check the most basic stuff before anything else.
