do I need to remove pas pump/alternator to get to it do you know? Recently just replaced the pas pump on it

Any guides on here? mines failed so needs replacing. what needs removing to get to it. do I need to remove everything that runs off the aux belt or can it be removed by just taking off the belt/tensioner? not taken a look yes so any tips before I get started would be appreciated Thanks

yes it fits in the notches, always confused me as surely it would stop the piston rotating and pushing out as you mentioned

Common to weld these up on mk1 clios so don't see any reason you couldn't weld a mk2 column

for anyone interested, the bolt spacings are different between the 2. Just a case of drilling new holes in the subframes though

just purchased a set of honda recaros that are on twingo subframes. Any idea if they are likely to fit into the 172 before I try it out? have been told they are custom subframes for twingo thanks in advance

Fitting 172 hubs is pretty straight forward I am told. Just a case of shaving a bit off the hub where it mounts to the shocks. If you fancies that idea. Frees you up to use 1*2 pads/discs/calipers. (all reversible stuff so can be changed back if wanting to go back to original)
