6k /6month oil changes are a worthwhile idea on the cars not necessary for warently in the Uk etc but is ideal.
Both the Williams and Cup (stock ones) with stock tyres will do 8.45 minute laps with the same confident track knowedged driver behind the wheel.
Eddd on here lives near the ring and owned both and said they were just as quick.
Personally the ring is a superb ideal to give you an idea...
Stock brakes are superb realy the 182 wheels are a problem as they don't let the brackes cool best upgrae for the brakes is to change to different alloys to let the brakes cool.
Stock brakes on the 182 do seem to have problems since due to the wheels they run so hot chnage the pads for new...
Whats warently is it?
Under Renault extended warently the garage has a minimum charge to look howver if they chnage something udner the warently you don't pay a pence its to stop people keep dropping there car off for a free check etc all the time otherwise dealerships woulnd't get paid.
MX5? MR2? MGF? (Ok maybe not the last one but to be fair its a good car)
Forget fitting bits its not worth it. Stock or chnage IMO you've taken a big change a good WIlliams to a 182 and most drivers would be disappointed.
Somehting RWD maybe for a charge.
The Williams is the more fun car IMO going to a 182 whilst maybe quicker ins't as fune the Mk1 172 is the cloest to the Williams for fun and enjoyment.
Halfords ones are Ok for the rear get there cut to size ones £6 for a set of 3. Else Renault its £6 that included the clips so easyier to chnage (not that its difficult anyway)
For the front use the Bosch ones Halfords sell I'm happy with them there good value.
The Civic (I forget which...
Laguna don't fit.
There a few types Megan wheels fit just have a look round a scrap yard you wnat 15's minimum at the fornt and should have the same size all round for the ABS system.
Whats do you mean there not good? Did you bleed the brakes as that makes a difference.
You can glaze pads and I'm not very impressed with those pads anyway I changed a set not long ago for stock Halfords ones and they are much better the Mixtex ones seem to have cracked up in use. Stock...
Still looks like you've a heck of a lot of interier still to come out of there.
Take it all out including dash then show her what its like when you put it back as it is now she'll be happy.
Well new springs and dampers yep but you could hopefully get away with using stock dampers and maybe just uprated springs which are cheap to have made and some weight reduction. The 2.0 Alloys block TDI would be one option as its way lighter but not sure its head will match to the 1.9 block it...
The Cup shell is the same as the none RS shell and the 172/182 shell its just not type approved to tow but since the cars are the same you can fit a toe bar just like a standard none RS could have. Most polaces don't know and dealers have been known to fit tow bars before now. Its not just a...
I own a diesel at the moment though so whiulst lpg does work on a diesel by helping and buring so you can make more power the high injector pressures would be a pain plus I'm still left with the risk of an expensive set of injectors which can fail and no lower rpm on the motorway.
The 172/182...
