The bridging 1 and 5 is for the ph2 resistor pack, that has a different pin arrangement.
Erm, you may be able to work it out by pulling apart a resistor pack and working out which pins go where but thats maybe not for you?
Maybe send the resistor pack to a willing ph1 owner to test for sure?
Uni students ordering online still get 3 year warranty, I just checked. Its not actually applecare as it doesn't include year 2 and 3 phone support, but thats crap anyway.
Going to be cheeky here and suggest some guides.
For the cleanse and glaze guides, maybe a dedicated 'how to apply' section? (I know its all on DW, but most beginners wont be on there)
And maybe a my first detailing kit guide, do a machine and non machine example specifically for the clios...
Shocking!
I'd definitley be persuing it, can you not use the legal assistance that comes with your insurance to persue them. That might pay for legal advice and an independant professional inspection?
I'll post my list as I'm getting quite excited about it all coming :o /sad
In no particular order:
Werkstat Acrylic Jett Sealant
Werkstat Acrylic Prime Cleanser
Menz 102fa
Prima Amigo Glaze
Blue and White Hex Logic Pads
DAS6 DA Polisher
IronX
Blue tape
And a silverline wheel brush...
It's for the wood worktops everyones getting at the moment, he bought a load of festool cutting equipment at the same time which is superb quality, really nice kit the festool stuff.
Cheers, will see how I get on :)
Has it gone pink or just stopped working?
If it has just stopped working then it could be the ignitor or ballast thats gone rather than the bulb.
Try unplugging the small (think its green) connector for the ignitor which is behind the bulb itself and plugging it in again. If it fix's it...
Re: What have you ordered?
The discount one works but the delivery one expired 31 Dec 11. And you cant use another code with the discount one either.
Thats what it told me anyway :(
Well I've got the white and blue pads, the 106fa, the prime and amigo.
I could still buy a rotary or a DA, as I'm yet to buy the machine, need to check out my uncles DA tonight. Infact I know my uncle has a festool rotary which he uses to polish kitchen work tops, think its the 150 they sell...
Will have to see how I get on then! Hopefully should provide some level of correction, I'm not expecting anywhere near 100% as I'm still all new to it!
I've gone with the prime as I said originally, just to order from CYC and its all on its way!
The paint isn't terrible, but it has visible swirls and want them rid.
I'm looking at rejuvenate instead of the acrylic prime now, as I can just buy it from CYC at the same time as the rest.
I'm going to get it all ordered at the same time regardless but I might get away with the...
Right, so I'll go for the list, with just one polish. And add a cleanser to my list too. I'll probably pick up the acrylic prime.
God this is going to add up, should still all come out cheaper than the MF package though! Good news is my uncle just called and mentioned he bought a DA a few years...
Regarding the cleanser, the prima amigo glaze I picked is mentioned by gally as a cleanser and glaze in the other thread.
Between clay and polish I haven't considered, suggestions?
Had a read through that, I know it's sort of going over what's all ready been said but would this be suitable
DAS6 machine only
Hex White with PO106FA
Hew Blue with Prima Amigo
Then top up with my jett (or should there be a stage before this?)
But the white+106 combo might not cut enough to...
I'm just thinking I could quite easily cause more damage than good with a rotary? As someone thats not really used a machine polisher before.
Would you recommend a regular DA kit then?, something like this...
I'm sure there was a thread on this last year, cant find it though.
Is anyone using this? Does it work well on the clio? And how long do the pads tend to last?
Thinking of buying the G220 kit on i4detailing, it looks exactly like what I'm looking for as the Trophy has a fair few swirls I'd...
I wonder if they include the full aux kit for £399, doubt it.
I might take them up on the plugs, the interim service price is not very cheap imo. The only reason I might pay for the interim is to keep the FRSH
