buy a new clip from a breakers yard or renault?, strip the lock out, fit clip, refit lock and put the bar back in sensibly?

just fold up the sandpaper, get it all off best you can then primer em?
cant really use anything else tbh as itll damage the plastic.
could try thinners, but itll just get messy i think. sandpaper+patience
might find this funny, but in one of my old work places, we used to put 2k primer on with a mini roller. wasnt any overspray or anything, was great. the repairs was bang on too, best ive seen upto date
