if you got a garage itll be pretty simple to do, outside in this weather may be a problem. as for the repair, itll be hard as the roof flexes so much, especially with the sunroof out.

looks like its dented too (most of them dent there) you can mask off the sunroof surround, grind out the rust and fill the dent. or proper way would be to drop your roof lining out, drop the sunroof out, panel it with a dolly and panel hammer, skim of filler, primer, paint, refit/reseal sunroof

well if youre definatly going with those bodyshops and thats the quote youve got, itll definatly be a 100% write off as it exceeds 60% (ish) of the cars market value.

either dry the paint with a hot air gun, or leave it a few hours, then wetflat the run out with P800, P1000 or P1200 (whatever you have really), then repaint where you flatted through. probably give it all another once over too

bout £40 or just get someone who can use a ratchet round and get them to do it for a drink?
