you can do what you like to it mate, but once rust is there, only way to get rid is to actually cut it out. you can grind it, you can sandblast it, you can treat it, you can fibreglass it, you can paint it. but x months down the line, it will come back through. if its just surface rust, then...

you can use rust treatment, but IMO, your best bet would be just cut out the sections of rusted arch/sil and weld in new sections. even if its just 2nd hand sections that have been cut off write off parts, aslong as they am rust free, use those.

filler primer is a high build primer. basically a really thick primer that has good covering potential. you get "high build" aerosol cellulose but the only real "high build" primer is with 2k.

run a search for colour coding/door strips mouldings will return at least 20 threads on it dude

sand them down with P180 so that theres no high bits of plastic, use a stanley blade to cut off any high bits. then use bumper filler. basically a really rubbery compound designed to fill plastics. smooth that in then paint them

buy it, try it, if it dont fit, take it back and say its the wrong one that you wanted n get the right one? or just ask the parts bloke if you can see both mouldings to see if they are the same

i usually give them a quick rub round with some P80 then P180 to smooth it off. just dont catch the front of the bumper, mask it out

could try but id say 99% chance of damaging the paintwork on the bumper just do a masking cutout of what you want chopped or draw a line in marker n cut to it

how did you smooth it in?

unsure if you can take the windows out with the rubbers still in, id say 90% sure you cant. the newer clios have metal inside the rubbers which bend VERY easily. i tried to take one out once and found the thing impossible without damaging it one way or another. so yea, watch the rubber!
