Fredsport are also very slow at doing this. I get the impression their all wasting there time down at the track, not spending the money developing the engine a bit quicker.;)
Anyway to keep to its try hard core roots it should have dropped two engines. This anti lag nonsence is just a cover...
When the cars 10 yrs old its not worth much, so no one will pay to get the changed in my view. It would be expensive as there about £200 each so th 172 have £800 worth of parts alone needing replacing and they take a while to do.
Aux belt is changed at 36k the timming belt (which ones does the...
52 plates are ~£7.5~8k I think.
Your cars probably worth 5k trade in so its not a huge cost jump.
They did the Mk1 172 in green as a special edition version called the exclusive in green only 72 of theme were made but they dont seem to be worth any more.
Luckily the structural bits of the V6 are just stock normal Clio bits so it might be cheap to fix up but you never know what has been damaged till you get a good look at it or get the tape measure out.
If the engine had blown up thats probably easier than crash damage as engines arnt that bad...
Tesco will insue you with mods under 25 just that they charge a fortune.
£200 for lowered they want from me.
Best use http://forum.cliosport.net/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=5&TopicID=115791&PagePosition=1this thread and ring all the companies on it.
Tesc are often very competitve for...
The limit to the gearbox is just what the engine can give, the stock engine is redlined at 7.2k I think so thats the maximum theoretical speed its capable of. But drag etc means it wont reach the engine redline in on the straights.
Roamers runs an external ecu though but the stock 172 ecu can...
Chavs arnt necessarily the wrong sort of people though.
I live near the local chav hotspot (assuming chav means young people wearing basball caps and drive old/cheap cars with loads of tacky mods worth more than the standard cars or scooters), but although there realy polite and decient...
Yep I agree American fuel would be a problem for the 172 the knock would be quite high.
But I wouldnt worry much people run 200hp on the 172 engine without knock on 98 RON so 166.7hp (ie a 172) on 95 Ron should be fine with no knock.
Another way of looking at it is that you can run 220hp on...
Id say about 140mph on the stright and level. Evo got a 182 to 139mph (or it worked out to about that) on a test track oval a 172 wont be that far off.
One German forum user has hit the limiter on a big hill in 5th which is about 150mph I think.
Its debatable I wouldnt imagine 95 Ron will after it at all the engines not at a huge state of tune The enigne only at a CR of 11-1 I think and its only 86% efficient so its equal to ~9.5 ECR which is low.
Dont forget the 182/172 are sold in China where high quality fuel might not be able to...
No dont worry this is about the ID special leather the V6 had the option of.
The 182 (so long as you havnt ordered the Cup cut price model) will have the leather.
Also if you order a V6 it will have leather, its just if you ordered a V6 with the optional (expensive) coloured leather you...
Dont bother spending a fortune on 98 or so RON fuel as long as the engine doesnt knock then dont worry about it.
The car was probably mapped for at least 93 octane fuel. Although it does better on 98 the difference isnt probably noticable.
Seems a litle high, to get 200hp out of a 172 enigne and your looking at about £3k. Does it realy costs £3k for another 22hp on the Williams engine? Also 172 engines are more expensive arnt they which ofsets the higher tunning costs.
Very unlikely they will do one. The V6 isnt a huge seller so the cost of developing a new turbo pack would be uneconomical.
There were rumour or a new Clio V6 car but with a V10 in it. It sounds unlikly as there is no V10 they make so it would be a new engine or another companies (M5?) one...
Do you meant he pannel which adjusts the height of the lights? ie the one down by your right hand knee cap? I know there is a spare wires in there with no switch etc but no idee what its for.
Coilovers are only different as they have adjustable seating if you thik where a spring sits on a damper well coilovers have an adjustable platform there. It allows for lower ride height.
Coilovers are normally just stock springs and dampers but they have this adjustable height seat. Youc an...
Its more down to condition realy but 100k is no problee the engine is a development of another engine which has proved itself to be able to go over 300k. Anyway yopu can buy a new low milage engines all the time.
Even better if the car has done its milage on the motorway as its less wear and tear.
