All except me... :dapprove:
Did anyone get a shot of me out there?
Was a fantastic day as said before. Lots more faces to names, and it seemed to run very well, with no holdups (apart from random monkey bike riders/dogwalkers and a couple of low-loaders LOL) and my Cup performed better...
I found that when I took one out at Brands, it just felt a little soft around the edges, not as sharp. Don't know if it was the weight, its' newness or what, but I think I'd have caned it (2-3 seconds a lap) in my Cup.
They only weigh 15.5kgs?
Mine felt heavier than that when I took them out...but having said that, with no split in it 15.5kgs does sound about right. The foam seat base must only weigh 2kgs or so LOL
Crap and out of line...mine feels/works like this...
1 3 5

2 4
Whenever changing from 3 to 4 or vice versa I've got to be careful as it's not a straightline shift.
Indeed; they're fine enough for davyboy to hold the current unofficial Cliosport ring record while running on a set. Surely that wouldn't be possible if they're a s***e as some make out? ;)
Have you had experience of the Colways Ben?
I've seen them about, and they look very reasonable, but a remould on a trackday? Is that not asking for trouble when braking hard from 100+?
Or do they come warranted?
I've given A539's death for 70 laps at Castle Combe in a day, on a hot mid-summers day, and not one single treadblock did anything other than wear evenly and quickly.
They may be s**t in the wet, but on a dry track, they're nicely progressive, and can handle huge amounts of abuse and heat...
Thumbs up from me with Yoko A539's.
They may be ****e in the wet but the dry on-limit behaviour more than makes up for it.
Anyway, it's WET, drive slower.
I went down a simpler route...
Wire brush
Coarse sandpaper
Halfords primer
1200 W&D
Halfords topcoat
But I wasn't really worried about the finish, lets face it, they're going sideways into a gravel trap at some point in their lives :D
Forgot...you have to click the "Free" button...then scroll to the bottom and wait for the timer to get the link...doesn't take too long.
Or could anyone offer me a little webspace?
A frustrating p***k in a Cossie ruined TomS's session, he just would not move or lift  , but then I finally managed a clear full lap mid afternoon...I've timed it at around 1:30 :)
Had a better session later on, but my battery was dead as I left the thing running while changing wheels...
You're a bit behind the times Jon... I managed to f*** my wheel like that on the first Breakie run trying to hang on to you and James IIRC....and it still looks like that now.
Pain in the a*** right now though...what with you wanting to sell it
Hi All again...
Glad you all stopped by to say hello :)
I'm not at CC for the rest of this year, but I'm at Goodwood on 11/11 and 18/12 if anyone's up for either of those?
Was a good run against your Coupe Highwayman...I didn't have a real edge over you anywhere other than through...
No problems fella.
I should've lacquered or waxed those wheels first...that dust on the front wheels refused to budge no matter what I threw at it :(
I'm learning all the time :)
