There a 16V (or was it Williams well same engine almost anyway) with 300k+ which runs fine.
There a few 200k 16V.
Its down to how you drive them, if you do long journeys at lowish revs change the oil all the time and dont push them till there warm then you never neeed worry.
You can but a...
Big Iains isnt an import
Sounds bit steap to me I got quoted £9.5 from a dealer for a 52 reg 172 with 20k I think on the clock with a 24 k service and yrs road fund.
For an extra grand I could have had a 53 plate with 8k or so.
You can get 182 new for not much more I think someone said £12...
Ive heard of a few cars with disconnected lights (the 182 I drove was disconnected) so if you dont see it appear it migh just be a loose wire.
It come on (or should) 3 hundred rpm below the rev limiter I think. It works on the oil temp which is different than the coolent temp whcih can be seen...
The ECU can adjust if the fuel makes the engine knock but (will do on valers or 172 no matter) but valvers arnt designed around 98 RON fuel so your loosing power using it.
Gains are minimal realy but since people stick panel filters on and go on about there gains (usually very small) then on...
82 00 085 591 LOOM CD £89.18 INC VAT
Although prices might have changed, they are listed as £55 in the software I have then they went upto that price when I went looking a few months ago.
Total rip of IMO. If only you could buy the connectors I could solder it together with some wires for...
The first Mk2 2 were Y reg.
It may have been a test model thinking about it Evo had a silver Mk2 2 Y reg 172 have you checked to see if it is the same car?
The 182 is supposed to be mapped for 98+ RON fuel however if the engine isnt massively tuned so as long as low RON fuel dont make the engine knock then the same performance will be obtained.
And there was me thinking I did a few miles in my first week.
I only did about 700 in the first week.
Did you look at any diesels? Or do your compnay only pay whatever the cost.
I often though if my company paid for miles Id choice a cheap diesel and pocket the difference.
Nice cars though.
I wont change the stuff unless your keeping it for big milages.
It will benefit from a change in the first thousand mile even less with a hard break in.
Enjoy your holiday and save the money to spend when your there.
Keep the 1.4 personally whatever car you spend wont be fast enough after a while.
Spending more than a grand on insurance is a waste IMO but each to there own.
I questioned changing my car reciently and went though all the costs. It got stupid seeing the amount it would cost me and thinking...
Nick Read is the man to talk to his has costs a fair bit in both time and money.
The engine will take a lot of power just to give you some ides the williams is an increased stroke and bored 16V enigne and a recient member on here has had 418hp from it.
Working on just engine size the 16V is...
Deans right its complete waste or money.
What it does is fool your cars ECU into thinking its a different temp than it realy is (I cannot remember if its make it think its hot or cold) therefore the cars ECU injects more fuel all though the rev range.
Its risky using it as your enrichening...
Renault dont fit this as standard for a few reasons.
1- They can charge us another £200 or whatever for a car.
2- It will help lower the amount of imports as imports dont have it installed.
Personally Id question the value of it, most of the mods were added to the normal car at the last...
Ive tried having a look for the part code but its impossible unless I have the oval plate details from a car which had the badges.
If you could tell me what the details are on the plate by the driver door pillar Ill find them
I think under law Renault have to sell parts from any car upto...
Im fed up washing mine all the time (DCI but metalic black).
I used to use some wax stuff from Halfords but after a few month of using it ever weekend I got fed up, after all in one day the car looks dirty again.
Lumpy idle is also down to the Euro emmuisions laws as the engine has to be effieient from cold the only way to do it is for the engine mapping as seem by owners.
If the idle is to lumpy Renault can check some things to see if the engine is runing correctly.
Top get 200hp you need head work, cams, remap, manifold work. IK and exhaust will see about 210~215hp
The ecu your on about is the R-Sport one which isnt an official Renault product (in the UK for definate) its sold by a few Renault tunning companies its just a whole new ECU for the car very...
You can disconnect the sensor for them but there quite useful Ive found.
Why not just use the top setting as thats the off setting the first postion is for the auto wipers the later ones for manaul override.
Theres a guide on the main page you need to be a member though to see it I think though. Quite easy though
You should be able to get it shipped from an engine breakers without any problems quite cheaply.
No idea to be honest they seem to stick to the carpet but there must only be a small sticky part to them.
Ive been meaning to achaully work out how there attached for a while.
77 01 207 145 EMBASE & VERROU £5.15 ex vat for 4
I think thats the part code otherwise its
82 00 079 548 CROCHET SUR TAPIS £5.15 ex vat (although I think these may be the bits on the mats.
Im sure they should have come fitted from Renault though.
My mats slip under the pads sometime...
Dont forget that ther 2.5 V6 will fit under the bonnet of the older shape corsas and thats not as spacious as our new Clios. Also you can get turbno parts of the shelf for the car as its the same engine as Saab used in a car with a turbo on it.
Theres a member on another corsa forum who is...
The fan will run so long as the coolent is over a certain temp. (110 deg? Ill check later)
It stays on for 12 minutes (if I remember right) or until the temp has dropped to a set level, then stops.
