12k servicing on the 182 same cost as the 172 ones (same engine ) however its 2yrs rather than 1 yr intervals if you dont do 12k/yr.
First service is between £130 and £250 depends on where you are.
£230 to £300 for the 24k one
Insurance depends on to many variables Id expect £600 to £800...
Yes wait till then engine warm then hammer it to the red line a few loads to get the rings to bed in you only have 20 miles to get it right. Theres a lot of engineering theory and proven data behind hard bedins and why were told all these stuff about bedding them in sofly being incorrect regards...
Well the engine does fit in the front of the old Corsa and Nova (Nova needs a bit more effort).
I think I emailed the owners ages ago but never heard back.
212hp from a 2.5 with a turbo kit seems a bit low.
Anyway the picture is wrong although its not the owners fault I dont think
Check the level if there ok you fine.
So long as your above the minimum youll be fine, you need to find out what the leak is it might be as simple as a loose connection.
You should be fine using the car till the weekend.
£20 for some pads down at Halfords etc and you can fit them yourself very easily quite quickly.
My pads only lasted 19K before I needed to change them these present set (stock) wont last as long.
Even if there only 5% left assuming there...
Can anyone who owns any none Sport spec Clio please hlep me with a little research Im doing.
Can you have a look on your springs and tell me the colour of them.
Pm me the colour if you want.
Thanks.
There are different views on bedding the engine in. The engineering view for most power and economy etc is the one I take which is to use it hard in the first 20 miles particularly for the rings to bed in (ie make a good seal) in the engine. This idea about being gently to it is mainly down...
18K servicing is to far inbetween but I wouldnt want to pay for servicing ever 10k or so.
Best cars at ones with variable servicing my parents Merc was never serviced after 30k+ I never bothered to see how much longer it had before it needed servicing.
Apparetly the VAG diesels can see 40k...
Liverpool Victoria and Frizell wont insure under 25s on a 172/cup etc.
But for £25 extra I can be insured on a turbo 2.0 Clio transplant its sort of funny realy.
Renault usually have poor build relating to electrics and noises.
So the car will start all the time but you find the dash rattling etc.
All part of the Clios charector.
Try Liverpool Victoria again but say your names someone else and put your address in as your next door neightbour.
Liverpool Victoria are very good with mods.
Pm sent though.
The cup is 5mm lower at the front and 7mm at the rear however it has tighter tolerances than the 172 at plus or minus 10mm the 172 has a tolerance of 10.5mm
The max tolerance difference between sides is 5mm.
Yes I am a boring
The 18k is very little work wise. They check brakes change the oil and filters but thats about all.
Cost £99 at my local dealership, shop around and you should get a cheap deal.
You can get it serviced elsewhere but they have to use Renault parts and if the garage you use mess up it up then...
Id change the oil in the first thousand miles if I was going to do it then change it ever 10k. I do 20k/yr so it would be ever 12months and use the offical stuff.
But then again I cannot be bothered not like it will make a noticable difference and unless your keeping it forever not worth it...
There only one cable for the cd changer for the Clio so I wouldnt imagine they could get it mixed up.
But this is Renault. So when you do go to prison can I use your car you know just to keep the fluid going round the system after all it would be a shame for it to sit on a drive doing nothing:).
I wasnt to sure about the cable (I canot belive anyone remembered) and had sort of given up. I though Id done a good job on the soldering but theres loads of cables.
Any a new one is 8200 085591 £86.18 inc vat last time I checked but it has been £60 at one time.
Your dealership are truly...
Dont forget to bed it in hard for maximum power.
Within 20 miles you should have had the red line it will ensue the piston rings make a good seal. So less oil burn and more power.
Enjoy the car though dont woory loads of poeple have good 182s. Anyway it would be boring without a few rattles.
I would have thought the lower the car and the slimer the side wall the more incontact you would be.
HAve you though about coilover or changing for adjusable dampers?
My escort had excellent handling and I want that back now at almost any cost.
My Clio has excellent grip but I need to know how it is performing though the wheel feedback etc.
Put it this was I could drive my escort safly at 100% I couldnt do that with the Clio.
Anyone any idea how to do...
82 00 071 236 COIFFE PDB CARMIN £361.68 ex vat (Im reasonably sure)
The part is the whole dash the picture below isnt the right one but shows you how big it is.

The present 182 will probably continue when the new Clio out as its probably very cheap to make.
Also bringing out a new model Clio is very difficult so the less model availiable the better at first also the demand for the new car will probabyl be very high so its a waste geoing flat out...
