As you've left the aux belt so long i'd be temted to get everything done in one go cambelt to. Everything would be about £450 Don't know how much just a aux belt is. But you'd have to have another aux belt when the cambelt was due.

Aux belt is 15k overdue and cambelt is fine for another year or till you reach 72k

Sod the emissions, so it's possible to have it remapped out? Come MOT time car is alway warm when being tested anyway so high emissions on first start would not bother me. Really is god awful somtimes like said above when having to pull out onto a main road and struggling to go above 35ish, and...

but changing up from second to 3rd at 2.8k aint abusing it in my opinion, any lower and the car would struggle like hell to get up the hill.
