Nah mate, not local at all. I live in Romford, Essex about 70 miles away. I went with my rents to look at a clio 138 there. They couldn't do us a good enough deal on the car, so we left.
Thr car was ** 02 ZZB (I think) I've also seen it for sale a fair bit too.
In the same one as the 'cheap cup' I posted about earlier on.
They had an early 52 reg silver 172 in (with factory sat nav) For either £7880.00 or £7480.00 (I can't remember which fig was on the screen)
To say that the car looked to have a 'hard life' was an understatement:dapprove:
The...
Apparently in for a service, car parked quite away from the showroom etc round the back, but I clocked it when I walked past.
Looked to have mk2 18's on it. It has the bumper cut out & a nice stainless system on show.
I got a pic but as the car was soo far away behind gates it didn't come...
I've no idea mate, I don't really speak to him that much, he had a 53 reg 172 cup. The last time I saw him I asked how the cup was & he said he'd got a trophy.
He's not had it long (only a few months iirc) so don't think he'd be part exi'ng yet.
Only £8995.00
The one in Basildon has a silver 04 reg silver cup in, with climate in it  for that price.
The rear turini was totally shot on it, the 172 door stickers were part missing on both sides & the car wasn't in the nicest condition at all.
Utter bargain imo. I'm off to part...
Pretty much what other have said really.
Remove the sport badge from it
Change the rear lights 9standard with silver bulbs in etc)
Change the 17's, I see you said you've got the standard wheel's, get them on it & how it looks
Lower it.
Do your calipers silver or black.
Change the number...
I gave Mike over a grand back in March. Oh the joys of a vee cambelt change etc ! Still, all the expensive stuff is out of the way now.
Mike & co are top boys.

There was a spotted thread of one on the M5.
Yeah most clios have the rear plate stuck on with some mega strength glue/tape (so much so that the plate would be fooked if you tried to rip it off)
I read the bit about the plates on here, they quoted it from somewhere else. Mine are stuck on (very well though) never had a prob.
