Ah right God knows who brought them then,
it was weird when I finally sobered up and found my cool box had almost as much booze in it than when I started.
Did you bring all the Strongbow to CSS Toby?
The left over cans ended up in my cool box, I drank one the other night and it tasted like piss. :dapprove:
If it's just panel damage, whack it back into some sort of shape from the inside and just carry on driving it.
If you're money's tied up in the car, then you're going to have to start saving all over again,
eventually when you get a replacement, stick a roll cage in the old one, strip it out...
Yep you'll need a French car specialist with Renault diagnostic equipment,
probably cost about £20 to check for fault codes,
don't go to Renault they'll charge you a fortune.
Unless there's a member in your area with an up to date RSTuner box and correct software,
they can check for fault...
You pull it all the way out, then pressing the brake pedal will adjust it to the correct depth,
the brake pedal switch only controls when your brake lights come on.
You may need to check the abs sensors/cables aswell,
the first time mine said SERV/ABS/ESP it needed a new one on one side.
No problem, it's a sh*t thing to happen mate and i'd be angry and upset if it was mine,
so we all feel for you dude.
Hope your luck improves my friend.
Possibly but bare in mind that's best case scenario, depends on how good you are with the spanners and how many bit's you can remove.
I'd just drive it for the time being, untill you get £1.5-£2.5k together for a decent replacement.
Depending on your financial situation, you could pound it...
I'd say with that kind of damage I doubt you'd get more than a grand selling it as is,
if you break it you'll make more than that I would think, a good engine depending on mileage, belts etc,
goes for £500-£850, everything else on the car is saleable except the passenger door.
If you stripped...
One saving grace is the car's still drivable,
you could take the rear door card out and try pushing the worst of it out with your foot or something.
It'll still look like sh*t and it'll do your head in everyday looking at it,
but you've still got a working car to use whilst you get funds for...
If it's going to cost you £1K or above to fix it, it may just be worth throwing in the towel and buying another 172,
you can use the dented one as a donor car for parts, or break it and claw some money back.
I'm sorry to say lads but I don't think i'll be making it tonight,
my Mum's having a new driveway put down and she's asked if I can go round and help her tidy up this evening.
Family > Everyone else.
I need a cup spoiler for my Iceburg really finishes the boot off nicely,
also I hate to admit it, but anthracite Turini's really do look bloody good on it.
Bloke in a GW 200 waved at me as I was driving out of Stratford Upon Avon on the Warwick RD A439,
I was in an Iceburg 172 going in the opposite direction.
It gave me a nice little feeling, as I gave up waving at RS Clio's quite some time ago,
as people would just look at me like I was mad...
My kind of people those, what i'd describe as 'normal' people, it's all the Ben Sherman wearing tossers that freak me out.
I'd love a go on the bird in the second to last picture, she's like a punk version of Billy Piper.
It really was quite shiny mate, I was impressed as it takes dedication to keep a ph1 in that good a nick.
Also how many Mk1 Cortinas were on the road today?
Some kind of Ford festival on I think, I was drooling so much I nearly swerved out of my lane. :o
Have you ever been to one of the West...
About 9:45 on the way to Stratford Upon Avon,
very tidy Black Ph1 172 on the A46, being driven by a bloke with a shaved head and glasses.
No CS stcker, but it was such a nice example it's obviously looked after.
Worth a post I think.
I'm all about the driving not the waxing aswel, I fully approve of fast dirty cars. :approve:
Second shot is amazing!
I thought you'd be twitching at the sight of all that dirt Kev? ;)
