So whats the new plan with this one?

Ive got a full megane as a donor car, and looking to complete the conversion later this year on my 172 cup, just looking at options atm, more parts that are easily available if i used clio top end, not 100% sure on best route to take tbh

Do you have any pics off the modifications/your set uo at the timing side? Im fitting a meg eng/box to my 172cup this winter, but thinking on going with the clio top end as there is more off the shelf stuff regarding the manifold/downpipe etc

Anyone got any info on fitting/or has fitted a 172/182 head to a meg 225 block, is there any modifications required on the cambelt side? just looking at options prior to conversion Thanks

Lets hope it goes to plan and makes some torque this time, how is the pnp ecu? Easy to set up and is it pnp or do you need to mess around with the wiring, Away to do a meg eng & bix conversion this winter, bought complete running car last week so no holding back now ha, need some boost in my life

Well its a no brainer, only 500 notes, just get it done, they lack power so will make it more exciting to drive

The most it would require would be the bores to be honed i would guess, but even thats requires a strip down, everything else should be fine, as steve says get a boroscope down there is the first thing

He's good but surely that thing should of been scrapped,

If the timing is that far out you should notice the severe lack of power tbh, plugs out and cofirm your at tdc is the easiest and best option

My 172 cup is exactly the same as you describe, again no fault codes and pulls like a train, cam timing is also bang on, I've yet to try and find a solution in other areas but will be looking into.it in the new year, with o bought another Honda ha

Mine went the same, its like the top thread is a locking thread, mine went tight as you describe but did go down further Just had a look at my photos, i have around 6mm of thread showing on each side

The diagram is correct, is the top nut been tightened down? i have a few threads visable above the nut on mine

I'd be on high boost all the time ha, need to get some boost in mine soon, gotta be quick with 285 brake, does it run a lot of torque?

How does the standard box cope with the power? Is the boost switchable?

are you sure that bore will hone out? looks like a rebore or scrap but maybe just the photo's, I'd also guess that if the car was running on all cylinders while idling prior to the eml flashing then i'd say that injector has suffered poor spray pattern prior to failure
