An import Clio from the EU has the normal 3 yr warently the same as any Uk dealership car.
There a letter you need to send to Renault Uk though to ensure you get the second and 3rd year warently added to your car. Its been posted on the site a few time do a search for it.
Pull the rubberey surround bit from round the gear stick at the botom and youll be able to see the hidden bits of how the gear stick is stuck on.
I cannot understand how its help on for certain in the drawings Ive got here.
£3.75k I think it worked out to be.
There was a recient post on the company.
There are other ways to power.
TB make 230 with head work for ~£4k
£6k for 260hp turbo with 300hp potential begin possible with further work.
All 16 V sounds like a bit of a mess.
A new engine would be easier wouldnt it a few hundre should get you a 1.8 and then rebuilt your own time.
There a few 1.8 engine for sale on the forum I think
77 01 207 588 KIT DR SEAL LH £40.68 ex vat for the left hand side (part 4 on the drawing)
77 01 207 589 KIT DR SEAL RH £40.68 ex vat for the right hand side (part 3 on the drawing)

It come as three pieces see the drawing...
I think you can do it to have a check you can pull up the surround around the gear lever and have a look at the mechanics behind it to see if you can do it.
It will get you about 7hp and be noiser.
Depends what you want realy how much do you want to sped on the car and how much do you realy want a few more hp and more noise.
£900 will get you cams, full remap, decat. Thats should be ok for about 93hp.
Tunnign the 1.2 isnt realy cost effective but does make for somehting unique.
Spend about another £500 ontop of the above for ported head and youll be on about 105hp.
There are a few tunning optiosn though £5.5k...
Should go in it has been done before not sure how many problem there were is your car a Mk 2 2 or a Mk2 1 ie triangular lights or not if it is a triangular light then the wiring maybe a bit more of a probelm due to the interwired systems. You will be better using a Mk 2 2 engine if you have a Mk2 2.
Yep the CD players are the same. The connections for the tape players is the same as well ie you could stick a cd changer from a Clio 172 onto a Mk2 1 tape player one.
Conner have you though about getting a new Clio with free insuracne? Sure it will cost you about 3.5 to 4k but it will be a new car and youll get the NCB if you dont have another crash that yr.
Liverpool Victoria are good for mods though
Clutch life on the 172 is a problem they can go in 10k of hard driving and may last the life of the car is say my dad was driving.
But the clutch does suffer from failed seals sometimes and so this is a warently job. The only way of knowing is tohave it taken off. Dont let the dealers fob you...
Before you fill up with a full tank you emptly the bottle into the fuel tank. Its supposed to clean the injectors spray and other stuff to make for a more efficent tneigne it might to but somehtime the probelm isnt the injectors.
The only way of truly cleaning the injectors is to have them...
The normal service takes 1hr (the 18k one)
The 36k one takes 2.7 hrs. Need to check rear brakes (1/2 hrs) and change the filter (1/2 hr quoted for the filters) also a test drive
Its about £220 I think round here for the 36k one and I paid £99 for the 18k one (although I had a new tyre as...
Maybe try putting it back on.
You need to drive round slow for a while to see if tis just the ecu set up for your driving etc.
Its not to bad 30 though so long as you dont do loads of miles I used to get 33 out of my 1.4 60hp escort on a very long drive to work.
If you want good MPG get a Dci.
The fuel fill up bits on the wrong side as well
They have done this before Renault have a look in price guides etc and look at the right hand drive Clios there all refections you can tell most obviously as the CD player buttons are the wrong way round
Ye bottom out the suspension a few time a car just sitting doing nothing is never going to lower quickly.
Mine looks 30 down as the springs are so hammered.
If you want a guide about removing the airbag safly Pm me Ill emil it to you.
I love the Renault procedure for defusing airbag they put a load of car tyres over them and hit the activator with a hammer as hard as possible.
Depedns how you drive I got under 20 mpg out of a 1.2 I had for a while.
I drive my dci quite hard and get~52mpg and as dci get about 50% more mpg than petrols then 30.9 isnt to bad.
The 1.2 wont take advanage of the superunleaded aas as far as I know its not set up to take advtage of it.
Few cars are set up to use the advantages of super fuel. It may clean out your injectors and lead to a slightly better burn but no more power unless your down on power in the first place.
What bit are you looking for Im a bit lost.
I have the Renault software they use at the dealers so can get you a price and part code if I know what Im looking for.
