Been to Birmingham today so filled up with petrol before i went. Did a round trip of 320 miles and it used a whole tank of petrol!!! the whole journey was on the motorway doing 70-100 mph so u would think fuel consumption would be good...... i only have a 1.4 16v Alize. What do u guys get...

i just got back from my dealer and have been told my lower gear box mount is gone. They want £50.07 for fixing it.

i went from 14" standard to 16" superlagerras and found no peformance change. Only very slight decrease in acceleration but nothin to loose sleep over :) good choice of wheel mate.

not long ago had the engine mounts replaced

expect insurance to be about £1400 on the 1.4 16v. maybe go for a mk2 phase 1 to keep the price of the car down... one like mine perhaps, can be bought for about £4500 if u look round (mines a 2001 on a Y plate)

theres nothin to think about.... the clio wins hands down.... cheap insurance and its faster than the vtr. i speak from experience!! ;)

nah not really... i got a sony too. it took me about 40 mins to do the job. hardest part is removing the top part of the dash, but if u become a member then theres a guide telling u exactly what to do ;) Its definately worth it mate, trust me :D

dont do the vtr!!!! get a 1.4 16v clio instead, knock socks off the vtr :D oh... and welcome to the club hun! ;)

erm... it depends on the make of HU u wanna buy. it goes from the stalk remote to the back of the head unit. i can remember somethin bout it connecting under the clock display too. U will have to remove the dash to fit it tho :D

...spray the whole lot then get some chrome paint and hand paint the 16v. then laquer over the lot.

when im in second gear and change up, there is a knock coming from somewhere. only happens in second to third gear. Any suggestions?

kewl, ok ill try... just thought it may be somethin electrical due to reno ordering me a new part last time it happened?

okie doke... its just it happened to the drivers side before and reno said somethin had snapped so i had to have a new part (cant remember what it was). Whatever they did seemed to fix it too cos it shoots up now, but its happened to the passenger side now!! :confused:

yeah pva would work, but might be hard to remove cos of the strength of the paint ull be puttin over the top of it.

cheers ryan. could be the problem but surely this would affect both of the windows, mine only happens on one side!? :confused:

nah its not rubbing/catching on anythin... it just seems to struggle. :confused:
